Yes. My close friend who I converted to DE and then gave my SR to turned this for me. He plans to make one for himself, and his brother in law after this one is done. My wife will also get one before he's done. We also hope to try some acrylic before long. This is spalted maple and I love how its coming out. He is polishing it as we speak and plans to take it to a glossy finish. The urethane made it a little darker than I expected but I love how it looks and really appreciate its handmade by a friend. I had planned to put a maggard sunrise in it but as its gotten darker I'm debating different knots now. A tux is a possibility as is a nice badger from the bay. Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
Just scored this Dubl Duck Goldedge on the 'bay for a $56.25 bid. It looks to be in decent shape, but I always wonder if others know something I don't when I win something much cheaper than they usually go for. I guess we'll see.
Thats at the top of my list. If not in that I think it would go in this. Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
Picked up a very sad brush in need of TLC ... I think it's the younger brother of @HolyRollah brush he restored.
Just picked up one like that but it was a little more narrow. Only measures like 18mm curious how big I can open it up. Either way I'm sure you will do a bang up job as usual. Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
Thank you for the compliment. Pictures or it didn't happen. I just got in a couple 18mm Finest Badgers from China; I'll send you the link if you need it. This is the second one I've pick up in a week. I look it as this way anybody can polish a diamond and make it shine, but it take a lot to breathe life into old bones.
I tugged on the knot a little and the ferrule came right off. Only question is do I stay traditional or dye it a mahogany or even green? I have a second thats very similar but a tad larger. Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
Not shave related ... Sometimes it's good when things suck, and when they're not doing it like they should, you get a replacement ... Pick up six replacements. Of course I was talking about vacuum bags ...
