Your photos this week of this lineup have really been superb. The lineup itself is appealing with a citrus theme soap, great razor and wonderful brush. Really nice Doug.

You have the ability to sell some of your gear. I haven't advanced that far yet.

I'm using a Merkur Vision, but I don't see or hear much about those anymore. When I first bought it, it was all the rage. It had just come out. Now I hear Merkur doesn't make it anymore. Does anyone know the issue why? Low sales? I wonder if it will ever be a collector's item? lol

I've gave some brushes away but never sold any. My problem is I really like the brushes I have.

No need to apologize. I've sold some razors and honestly about to sell some more.

    August half over!?!?!

So I got some Gillette Guards in the mail to try them out earlier this week, so tonight I decided to give one a go. Opening up the simple plastic packaging, wow what a different razor. After using The General, this one was light as a feather. Maybe even lighter. The second thing I noticed was the pivoting head. Haven't used one of those in a long time.

As for the shave, the Monkey Farts were wafting up out of my Turkish copper shaving mug as I used my Maggard's 24mm Synthetic Brush, presenting a very pleasant smell. After lathering up my face, I went to work. I'm iffy on the pivoting head, but I guess that is what allowed me to get a pretty decent shave out of it, not having to get the angle right myself. I did two passes, one WTG (N to S), and then ATG (S to N) and it did well. I figure to use it a few more times before trying an Trac II.

I don't see myself using this long term, but as a travel razor or maybe something for an overnight toiletry kit it does a decent job.

Who knows why they stopped, other popular razors were stopped or changed with no explanation from the manufacturer. The Vision is a nice razor, if it shaves great for you keep it. Over time it will only go up in value, you rarely see these up for sale, if it is not a collector's item yet it will be.
