I'm just glad Chris leaned down a bit. Kind of a Mutt and Jeff thing going if he didnt. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using Tapatalk
20 August 2017 Adjustable August Start of the Shaveweek Shave Pre: Hot water, soap from the container and a hot towel Razor: 1967 Gillette Slim Adjustable Blade: The benchmark, Gillette Silver Blue Brush: Rubberset 303 Soap: Barberia Toscana Sapone Da Barba After Shave: Cella Lozione Dopobarba This morning I again used the soap Herself brought back from Italy. The Rubberset 303 whipped up a great lather and the slickness was very apparent. The Slim/GSB set on "9" for the first pass just glided through my two day growth. Dialed it down to "7" for the second pass and left it there for the half pass on my neck. I wanted to do three passes, but there was nothing left to shave. The face feel after the rinse was very soft. Splashed on the Cella A/S and it was off to the fleamarket. Have a great shave, have a great day!
Beautiful kids, Jason. I have really enjoyed seeing everyone's kids the past few days. It has been fun to see fully grown kids like Brian's down to babies like Andrew's boy. The 30DC covers the whole range.

Thank you, Clint! I have three of their AS splashes. The scents are all terrific, and the performance is very similar to a Fine splash.
Thank you. Now that Fine increased their prices I will evaluate other AS as I replace my current aftershave inventory.
My daughter from HS graduation a few years ago. Waaaaay too smart for me...I gave up trying to outwit her when she was about 10... Day 9 of 30: Timeless Ti with Voskhod lathered with SOC boar, alum, witch hazel, and Nivea ASB: The 0.95 OC plate for the Timeless came yesterday so I decided to give it a spin. Feels more mild than my Blackbird, but definitely more aggressive than the 0.68 SC. Still a pretty good shave, very mild irritation along my lower neck line and some feedback from the alum. In the future, I'll save the 0.95 OC plate for days where I have at least a couple of days growth, and use the 0.68 SC as a daily driver. I've been whittling my way through some artisan soaps for my every other day head shave recently. Over the last week or so I've been using Sudsy Soapery, L&L, and Wholly Kaw donkey milk shave soaps on my dome. All great soaps, but I'd give the edge to the Sudsy Soapery thus far. Makes more lather with less product and at 2-3$/oz., it's a heck of a good buy. Very strongly recommend you give it a spin if you haven't already. L&L and WK provide similar cushion and slickness, but neither explode with rich, dense lather the way the Sudsy does. Next up on the head shave docket is Tallow & Steel. We'll see how it compares to the Sudsy Soapery.
Razor: Merkur 34C Blade: Personna Super (1) Brush: El Druida Te Vigilo w/Manchurian Soap: Route 66 Twisted Tweed A/S: Folsom & Co. Capri I had a number of great shaves last week with the tools I used. This week I'm off to a pretty good start. The Knot in this El Druida brush is not up to the quality I expect from this artisan.
Beautiful daughter. Congrats. We certainly have beautiful families represented in this thread. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Lovely setting and photo. I don't recall you using the 34c that much. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Thank you! I may have to many razors Clint. You are right I don't use it very much as I have found the Timeless razors more to my liking.
I understand. I have a 34c that I've hardly used in the last 2 years. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Doug, it appears you are "grandfathering" the Folsom Capri, since I keep hearing that company ended. Just like I am, with mt 3 remaining Rise Super Foams, as Rise International doesn't sell the 13 oz. ones anymore.
