If you do want the vintage look Minwax Special Walnut is great for that look with a teak oil finish then rubbed with Johnson's paste wax.

Thanks. The razor wasn't too expensive but shipping from France a killer. There's a pair of Gibbs still available on eBay France (including a 17) but the adjustment ring is stuck so a bit of a crapshoot. Maybe WD40 would free it up I don't know. If I use my tablet, I just upload the pic from my files. If it's too big, it can be cropped or resized from it's built in imaging program, which a lot of smart phones have. Sometimes I'll send my pics to Dropbox and and get them from there. Tapatalk just wouldn't work good, maybe I'll try again another time.
