Have any of you ever used a ladyshaver? A Gillette Venus perhaps?

Not me. I'll ask the women of the house if they have. :D

Back when I was a teen because that was the most comfortable razor. Back when I didn't know any better. Lol

+1! It's a long handled Flare Tip. I have a couple of them in blue.

Type H, The Hussy. I've only seen one in the wild. She's on my wanted list.

Dude they practically give them away on eBay. I see seven current listings. $15 range.

    It's a Flare Tip, I would think it's a super shaver.

I don't shop the bay much. Most of my vintage gear has come from antique & thrift stores, garage and estate sales. Still fifteen bucks is in my price range. Thanks for the tip!

Used my Ex fiancées Gillette Venus once years back. Darn thing ate me up! After that I'd rather use disposables before giving the Venus another go. Course I got my Fatboy so I'm set.

Are they rougher than the male equivalents?

I don't use that type of razor myself...but I imagine they are a great little shaver.

I'd say it was roughly the same. I blamed what ever they put in the lube strip. Seemed less smooth I'd say. Can't remember much it's been a long time haha

Funny, it may just be that the handle is shorter so its more handy but while my wife really likes her starburst she is starting to prefer my SS flare and my Aristocrat over her Starburst. Is the head truly the same? She seems to think she gets a closer shave from my flare. Since I let her try the Aristocrat she likes that even more so now I plan to track down a second Crat which works well since I want to find one in good condition.

I agree there is a shave difference ... I say I get a better shave with my Flare then my Lady Gillette (so it was easy to give away).
