I was considering a TSE soap, as well as a PAA soap....hmmm.

 

I've ridden out Cat 3's before while living in Panama City and Key West. Cat 4 is a whole different ballgame. Hopefully you folks in the zone are headed for the hills, this weather is actually quite dangerous now.

which PAA's do you have(from curiosity)? I was most interested in Home On The Range, and Mal Pais. But yes, see what you come up with, and I'd be interested.

Saturday shave

Still with the 'factory edge' this razor is very smooth and very sharp. We finally have a break in the heat so I broke out the tea kettle and scuttle. QCS loves the heat so the lather was awesome too. I really thought this would be an epic shave but the alum gave a slight tickle leaving me just short of epic.

August 25 Grand Blade Trials

Final night for the Gillette 365. Took the West Coast brush to the Sweeney Todd and loaded and got fantastic lather. Also hit the bottom of the tub to start the ring of death. Calling @Salty Belle - let me know when Sweeney Todd is back in stock! Time to order!

Final shave was another nice DFS. At 9 on the razor the blade was very smooth and comfortable and raised very little irritation. Alum was quiet, after shave feel is nice, but it just didn't hit the baby. Still, I wouldn't complain if this blade was all I had to use. Ok, so I'd complain a little, but really just because I want to. It's not a superstar Gillette but it's like almost every other Gillette. It gets the job done.

I'll pick another Gillette tomorrow and another soap and we'll do it all again! Have a great weekend! Looks like this is the weekend I'll decide to stay with the job I have now or take the other offer. I'm fence sitting but need to get off. Starting to poke!

Agree with Jared 100% here. I will pray you are guided to the right choice for you, but it's good to know you're wanted on both sides of that fence you're sitting on. In the meantime, if I haven't said it before, I appreciate your blade trials.

A very quick shower and shave this morning even by my standards. Three and 1/4 passes and I caught the baby. SE razors just work very well for me. A splash of F&C Capri and I am refreshed and ready for the day. My prayers for those in the path of the storm. Take care and be safe. I hope everyone has a great Saturday. I am off to Byrson City, NC for a day trip on the bike.
