Thanks, Andrew. It isn't shave-related, but it is irritated by shaving, if that makes sense.

    Thank you, Jim.
Glad to hear you are getting back to normalcy, and that things aren't nearly as bad there as could have been.

This month I've been trying to use up a sample or Dr. Jon's Hydra that Guy @ram57 sent me quite some time ago. I wish I could say that it is close to being done, but as you all know soap seems to last forever. An issue that I notice that I have with the Stirling Boar is not loading enough soap. I think I have enough but when I go to lather I end up a thin fading lather, so I end up going back to the puck and loading more (which doesn't hurt my feelings at all, I need to use up some soaps). Eighth shave on The Spoiler and its showing no signs of fading. I think I'll get one or two more shaves out of it before the start of SEptember. I haven't decided if I will join Perry @PLAla is only using Stirling Soaps, but with 5 full size tubs and 15 samples I certainly could. Also I need to take a new family photo of my SE's, my collection has grown considerably and I'm pretty sure I can use a different razor each shave of the month:ashamed001:.

Great picture. Pull out the Chubby 2 Synthetic. It'll eat the soap. :D

Nice picture, Andrew! Do you find that the loading issue is specific to this brush, or have you had this concern with other boars?

I have take The Destroyer to it twice this month Along with my 26MM 30DCLE. I'm nibbling away at it. I only use my bigger brushes on a soap I'm trying to use up. I think I need to start shaving daily, whether I need to or not.

Thanks Jason, this is my only boar so I cant really compare. I know I definitely don't have this issue with any of my synthetics.

Thanks, Clint. Taken out of context, I'm sure there are some bad jokes that could go with that comment...

Oooh, nice sounding colour combos! I went with their Ink scheme for all of mine - black body with red highlights.

Sounds like time for a re-knot.

How many shaves in? I would say once you are in more than a dozen it is probably time to give up. After a couple combings, mine held fast for a couple lathers, and then dropped six the other day. To me, not a good sign.

BUT, from day one I have enjoyed the handle enough that I would happily put an Omega knot into it. It was what, $7? I know Rod was just trying to put an entry level brush in play, so if I had to put an extra $12-15 for a knot, I would still be in under 20. The handle is worth it to me.

10 or so. I do think the handle was worth it, and likely will end up replacing the knot.

I think a 10066 knot size would look awesome in there, and a guy can get them for $14 on Amazon. You can get one loose in about fifteen seconds.

The question is how fast can you get the Stirling knot out?
