1. I love it every time I use it, but it isn't one I choose very often. It's like I have to talk myself into using it, and then wonder why I don't use it all the time.

  2. My wife told me she can very easily tolerate the scents of most of my soaps. Particularly the MITA, Gin & Tonic on the Rocks, and the Sharp Dressed Man, but she told me flat-out that she DETESTS the scent of the Black Ice and Glacial Obsidian. I told her "tough!" lollllllll
  3. My daughter says I smell like I should be driving a rusty van with no windows.

  5. She is teasing me. She says old men who go around smelling like candy are the kind of guys we warn her to look out for.

The Piacenza is one I definitely want to keep around. Now we just need it in sheep. Maybe it is too light of a scent for the mutton.

  8. That razor made me forget I was in a soap thread! Drop dead gorgeous!

  10. Thanks. It is one of my all time favorites. I had it made shortened to the same length as a Feather AC blade. It is just a nimble little shaver.

  11. This morning the Black Ice soap's lather felt as cold as a son-of-a-gun. I call it the "Junior" or the "Mini Obsidian" but wow, was it ever in my face today!

  12. I'm really looking forward to Stirling SEptember. I'm resisting the urge to buy up every Stirling item I see on the used boards. Or from buying Rod's whole website!
  13. I might get in on the Stoylin September bandwagon, as I still have a lot of Sandpiper A.S. to go, there's always the sample aftershaves to finish off, and some days in September can be just as ugly(hot&humid)as August, so that would call for the Glacial Wintergreen soap.

  14. I don't know how many more Glacials are left but I can also suggest the Lemon Chill soap. It's the only Glacial that's available all year round.

  15. I'll probably try that one next. Good to know it's year round-thanx.

  16. That soap has such a fresh, tangy lemony scent and the lather explodes off your brush. Within seconds your face starts to freeze, just as with all the other Glacials.

  17. While Wintergreen is fine for now, I've come to appreciate that a solid soap must have a great scent. That's why my next Stoylin soap will be choice from my current group of sample aftershaves. As for summer 2019-Lemon Chill will be it for me :)

  18. These Stirling soaps - all of them are solid performers with great scents. It's just a matter of finding the one or ones which you like.
