It's from 1985 so it will be interesting to see what 32 years on the shelf does. What intrigues me is how many of the coffee cups are available for sale considering they were only offered for one year (according to the OS collectible website).
The Razorock Barbershop Blue showed up today. It's supposed to be a clone of the now discontinued Floid Blue. At first sniff I can definitely smell the resemblance, but there is a difference, which is even more noticeable upon application. The Razorock seems more artificial in scent and less fresh and natural than Floid. Also the scent is not as pronounced as it is in the real stuff. It is however, closer than anything else I've tried. So for those who want to try Floid Blue but have been unable to find it, this might be a good, reasonable facsimile. 100 ml for $10 so you won't break the bank giving it a go. Edit: upon dry-down the scent begins to get closer and closer to the original. I'm not sure about the longevity, but then Floid isn't known for being an all day scent either. If I ever get through my five 400 ml bottles of Floid, I'd definitely buy this again.
Been on vacation for two weeks. Came back to some good stuff. 1) Two unlapped Arkansas stones. The smaller one is a Washita, the larger is a Translucent. Both are from the mine where Dan's stones come from. 2) Catie's Bubbles Millie Chypre soap and splash. LE edition. Last picture is my wife's reaction to the scent. 3) Custom Osiris Blades 8/8 Irish point half hollow with monkey tail and Abalone scales.
Just got in a Kingsly brush, Wilkinson "Sticky" and a Red Tip .... The Sticky is in better shape than I expected. Thanks to @Stu929 for the Red Tip.
I received my RR Blue today, I also have the big bottle of Floid Blue, I totally agree with you, the dry down really shines much like FB. Great juice for $10. The soap smells just like the aftershave.
Is this any better ... Haven't use the "sticky" yet. For being plastic it feels very substantial; can't wait to use it today. I hope I like it; I'm very fussy, but got it for a great price for a Wilkinson "Sticky".
Attached two different ways. The fist is copy image and paste; the second one upload file from my downloads.
What is the scent of Floid Blue or RazoRock Blue? I've never used or smelled Floid Blue. I'm interested in the new RazoRock version.
Gibbs No 15 arrived and contrary to my expectations based upon forum postings, it's obviously not an aluminum version of the 17, as it weighs exactly the same. Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
What exactly did you think was aluminum? From what I understood, the handles were all plastic. the exception being the number 16. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
