Back to Adjustable August with the SA. Just love the lathers I get with the Reserve Cool, and this morning was no exception. Loaded up a Voskhod and had three very pleasant passes. Did the extra 1/4 pass on my lower right side neck a la Clint, and am very near a BBS. I find the Voskhod a very smooth blade, especially on the 2nd and 3rd passes. I do prefer a few others a little more, but still a fine piece of Russian steel. Finished with the matching AS, and am feeling great.
Have to drive an hour out of town for a meeting so am heading out a little earlier than usual. Have a great day, all!

I'm definitely curious to see how the next two shaves go. Personally, I'm one of those who likes the Rubie and am only put off by the price/availability. (Feel free to send me any for disposal.)

You can count me in as one of the people curious about the job decision. You make it sound like you are going to be working at the Select Comfort store. That... or selling religious books door-to-door. :)

    Razor: Schick J1 Injector
    Blade: Schick Proline B (5)
    Brush: Razorock Plissoft 22
    Cream: KMF fragrance-free

An odd thing happened today... I actually finished the big bottle of KMF. I really thought that that thing was going to last years. :)

This is the fifth consecutive shave with the J1 and Proline B. The shaves continue to be smooth and issue-free, but this one was not quite as close as some of the previous ones. I'd call it a DFS, though, but wonder if the blade is starting to decline a bit.

30 August 2017 Wool Fat Wednesday Adjustable August Blade Focus Shave

Pre: Hot water, soap off the puck and a hot towel
    Razor: Gillette 1967 Slim Adjustable
    Blade: Timor
    Brush: Rubberset 303 circa 1955
    Soap: The Fat!
    Post:
Hot/Cold water rinse, alum block, cold towelx2, Dominello Vitali Calming Post Shave Moisturizer
    After Shave: The Original Clubman

If it's Wednesday, it must be Mitchell's Wool Fat Shaving Soap. Loaded the Rubberset 303 and mushed the Fat all over my mug. Had the time so I rolled with a traditional 3 pass shave. Outstanding slickness and cushion led to a BBS shave and a very soft face finish.
The Timor blade is delivering great shaves. I was a little leery when I saw the "ice tempered" advertising tag, but it's all good.
Splashed on some Clubman and Hump Day was off to a terrific start.
Still in my tin can, but it's a great day 'cause I had a great shave.

I forgot to mention that I had a little trouble sleeping last night. My 24 year-old daughter called me in tears last night, as she was loading her pets in the car for a mandatory evacuation due to a wild fire. She was texting me pictures like this. [IMG][IMG]
It really sucks when they are 500 miles away and all i can do is pray. The firefighters got it under control, but not before it burned 600 acres and got very close to my daughter. I am so thankful for the firefighters!
All is well and thank you for letting me vent.

Glad the smoke eaters took care of business! That is one job I wouldn't want. Forest fire fighting especially.
