How about "NEW and Improved".. If it's "NEW", how can it be improved?

Oh - one other item. A package of fire starter sticks. (paraffin impregnated fibers)

    "CAUTION: FLAMMABLE" (Really, Captain Obvious?)

Again commenting on my own post on the "double-is" thing.....My sister now does that. Why? Because EVERYONE ELSE DOES IT, not because it sounds proper.

I never knew that name before my Mom broke that bone in her elbow.....but it's OK, keep being redundantly repetitive.

Off topic a bit, but I used to pretend I was a sports announcer doing a Super Bowl, by saying It's The Super Bowl! Brought to you by Raid-ya just kill those bugs dead!"

I agree, John. Clearly anyone who speaks French or German would know that the correct translations, respectively, would be "fricassee" and "Wiener schnitzel".

I imagine it is a new (and modified) version of something that already existed. I take "new and improved" to mean "modified for the better."

Which begs the classic question: "So, what were we using before? Old and Lousy?"

That reminds me of the guy doing a Youtube video with Williams shave soap....midway through it, he actually said "I am not liking this much". That should have gonged him.

The problem is that while "New and Improved" should mean "modified for the better", it often means "modified to be producible at a lower cost".

With my Rise Super Foam, I think the only way it was "modified" was to cut off a chunk(but not ALL) of the fragrance feel. To me, that isn't "for the better", but I still enjoy using it.
