My first shave in SEptember pays homage to my wet-shaving SEnsei @Bama Samurai



I start with the brush and shaving soap from my first ever shave and 30-Day Rule back in May 2015.
Arko is such an instant lather bomb, and for me, the scent takes me back to a childhood with just one soap - Ivory - bath, sink, washing machine, it was everywhere.

As I'm rushing to get to work, I marvel at the shave from Personna Floating Head razor. I stop and think about whether the unique "floating head" mechanism was inspiration for todays' ubiquitous pivoting heads. But in this quick shave, the floating head saves me from sure nicks as the entire head lifts away from my face when I rush in with a horrible shaving angle. Not a single nick or weeper, and an excellent, close shave.



I finish with a liberal splash of Florida Water PIFd to me, along with the boxed Floating Head, from the generous Samurai. Cheers, wherever you are!

I'm so in for SEptember I started in August.
I'm using my G-bar right now. I'm probably gonna use any and everything SE I have or buy.
I am also making it SAMPLE September-so I'm plowing through my pile of samples in grab bag fashion.

I stopped into a shop on the way to my in laws today and found this handmade redwood burl bowl. I think it would be an excellent lather bowl. I just might have to pick it up on my way home

My wife's birthday is 5-11. Our Anniversary is 5/15. That also coincides with Mother's Day and Fishing Opener week. Thank God she likes to fish.

I actually did give her a fishing pole for her birthday once. That morning she also caught the biggest walleye that has ever been in my boat in the US. So it did work out. Let's just say she was happier at 9:00 AM than she was at 5:30.

I had planned a continuation of last month with the micromatics, but I grabbed and injector this morning. great shave, but I was sloppy due to the light weight and gave myself a small cut. After spending last month with the SE razors, I have come to enjoy the stiffer blade. I have way too many de blades in stock for this to become a thing.

Gonna start my month of shavette focus off with the shavette I kicked it all off with. A new Feather blade, a really slow careful shave and it almost came off perfectly. A couple small misses under my jaw, or I'd be tossing babies around right now.

The Stirling Almond is nearly exactly the same scent as Cella, just with that better lather. (IMO) I was really Leary about the splash, so I only tried a sample, but I really like it. A lot. Shari agrees, so a full bottle may be in the cards.

 

It actually seemed like a nice size. They had wider shallower ones as well.
