The Owens Corning fiberglas covered with visqueen gives me the psychosomatic itches. I also prefer the crunchy Cheetos & sausage pizza.
I found it to be less smokey and more grassy. I loved it. My wife hated it. She won. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
SEptember Focusin' Scentsy No.4 Cream Shave Soap B-400 brush w/ Tuxedo knot Osaka Suribachi bowl, cool water The Bunny V3.1, Chick blade Alum, Lime Sec Eau de Cologne Might be my second use of this particular soap. I gave it a good squeeze into a damp bowl & agitated with a well shook out synth knot. Lather happened! Wasn't sure I'd reached optimum hydration so I splashed my face damp and applied brush to beard. Good coverage and decent scent described as "Lime, Crushed Mint, and Cedarwood" supplied an acceptable glide and cushion. The Prototype injector with mild comb in place gave better results than last shave. Relearning the proclivities and adjusting my grip so I'll stick with it a couple more days. Probably swap out to the NOTSO comb next. I'd over dispensed soap so used the extra volume of lather to go on passed a three pass procedure. Lower neck is wanting of extra passes with most any razor, this one included. That gave the alum a little to sing about but no great issue from the AS. Definite BBS from the cheeks & chin. An efficient CCS or better on my neck. Good Shaves Y'all!
We are doing fairly well all things considered. I am able to get home, although the route takes me about 2 hours one way due to the road closures. The supply trucks are able to get into our town, and I actually saw people filling up at a gas station yesterday. My family has fared well through this. We have another family living with us that just started demo in their house yesterday. They did not do so well, but at least they are all healthy. There are lots of people I know who are in a similar situation, and a few I don't know who are worse off. It will be a long recovery for the area, but this area is resilient and will come back.
4 SEptember 2017 Labor Day Blade Focus Shave Pre: The usual jazz Razor: GEM MMOC Blade: PAL Super Single Edge Brush: JR#161 Soap: Catie's Bubbles "Sunrise" Post: Hot/Cold water rinse, alum block, cold towelx2, Dominello Vitali Calming Post Shave Moisturizer After Shave: Proraso Green Lozione Dopobarba Second shave with the MMOC, first on weekday stubble. Color me impressed. Pretty much a flawless 2.5 pass BBS shave. What a difference between this razor and the Featherweight! The PAL blade was really comfortable. Although I'm sure the "Sunrise" may have had something to do with it. Splashed on some Proraso Green A/S and another Menthol Monday is in the books. As an aside, today is my Dad's birthday, so I'm off to the cemetery. Have a great day gentlefolk.
What's even more disturbing is that I still can't figure out how Jared got that picture of me. Creepy.
SEptember 4, 2017 Cobra Classic Schick Proline (2) BSB-2 with Vie Long 2 Band Fan Reef Point Tranquility Fine Lavender Another fantastic shave this morning. The BSB2 brush is a joy to use face lathering in general and even more so with a great soap like Tranquility. The scent and cooling of the peppermint makes the shave even better. Since I had time, I went with a 3 pass shave this morning. I did mix things up by going 2 passes XTG followed by an ATG pass. This is one of those shaves that @Keithmax calls epic. A splash of Fine Lavender kept the peppermint and lavender theme going. I hope everyone has a great Monday.

6 ounces. It's about a half to the quarters of an inch from the top when brand new. Yes, lots of it and it doesn't take much to make a lather, especially with a synthetic. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using Tapatalk
The next soap up in the Box - Matin De Candre. I had shaved with this from a sample early in my wet shaving tenure and found it a bit "meh", but since I know a lot of guys rave about this soap, I figured I'd give it a try again now with some experience under my belt. Well, it was better than "meh", but honestly nothing that really stood out over and above any of the soaps I enjoy most in my den. If I'd been given it in a blind sampling, it wouldn't make the top of the list. Is it a good soap? Absolutely. Just not a standout for me. RUNNING SOAP REVIEW SUMMARY Keepers In My Den Barrister and Mann - unique, complex scents and rich, thick lather On The Fence Midnight and Two - nice scents...although they could be stronger, good lather... although it could be thicker, great face feel and moisturizing properties. Didn't Make the Cut I Colonai Mango - great scent, but discontinued, too expensive, and I botched the lather. Martin De Candre - a solid soap, but nothing jumps out as being really outstanding to me.
Great way to start the day with an epic shave I'm back in the US taking care of family business. I'll be back reading and posting next week.
Today’s shave was with the Schick injector seriously loving this razor. I paired with a blind sample of either B&M Reserve Spice or Stirling Spice not sure for now we’ll call it Spice A. Used the JR 177 to whip up a nice lather finished off with Alum and naturally some Old Spice Classic. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
