6 SEptember Williams Wednesday Pre-Shave: Hot Shower Brush: 25mm(my caliper) Maseto Shaving(MS) Synthetic Soap: Pure Williams*(almost) Razor: GEM Brookland Blade: Treet (5) Post-Shave: Stetson AS Photo: Well today is Williams Wednesday and to fall in line and be a conformist I used pure Williams. Well, almost. I added a little bit of Stetson AS to the cake to give it a little more of a scent. That's right, I said Stetson AS. When I used to use aftershave my aftershave of choice was Stetson. The Wife and kids would buy it for me for all of the major gift giving holidays. I was able to dig around a box from the bathroom from my last move(3yrs ago) and find several old bottles of Stetson. The Williams and synthetic brush whipped quite a lather. A great start to what ended up being a stellar shave. As I have stated before I just got this GEM Brookland back from the Razor Doctor, thanks again Tom. He also gave me some tips on the proper angle for this razor. Typically I ride the cap on razors, heck, on the MicroMatic line they wrote it on the cap and that was the way I was using this razor. Tom suggested I open up the angle to almost parallel. To start off with the razor comb on my face and then bring it up just enough to start removing the whiskers with the lather from my face. Now before the razor would give me an alright shave but it was not a pleasant shave. It would have been more enjoyable with a piece of broken glass. But I was determined to find the razors sweet spot. So following the Doctor's advice I opened up the the angle between my face and the razor. OMG!!! What a difference that made. It was night and day difference. I did three passes and was even able to get a good shave on my difficult spot, under my Adams apple. I am getting better and better shaves all the time and am having a harder time being able to say what my favorite razor is. I finished off the shave with some more of the Stetson AS cause what pairs better with Stetson flavored Williams than Stetson. I feel very smooth and soft and wondering how long this shave will last. We will have to see. Living the Dream & Enjoying the Shave

6 SEptember 2017 Wool Fat Wednesday Blade Focus Shave Pre: Copious amounts of Hot water, soap from the container and a hot towel Razor: 1930-40 era GEM MicroMatic Open Comb Blade: PAL Super Single Edge Brush: JR#161 NY Mets Special Edition by @Jayaruh Soap: Mitchell's Wool Fat Shaving Soap Post: Hot/Cold water rinse, alum block, cold towelx2, Dominello Vitali Calming Post Shave Moisturizer After Shave: Fine Accoutrements "American Blend" Broke out the Fat for Wool Fat Wednesday. JR#161 whipped up a great lather in my Old Spice mug. I had enough for two people to shave. The MMOC/PAL combo is still mowing down my weekday stubble. 2.5 passes and I was smooth. I love the post shave face feel when I use MWF. The MMOC delivers a much better shave than the Featherweight. This is a case of the razor making the blade better. The PAL really did not impress me in the Featherweight. It's shaving like a champ in the MMOC. Splashed on some "American Blend" and Wednesday was up and running. Have a great shave, have a great day!
SEptember 6th Schick G4 w Chick (2) WD HM Badger/Cypress B&M Seville SS Thayers Stirling Barbershop AS I decided to stick with the '66' all week, and switch to a different injector for next week. Another thick, slick lather with the Seville this morning. 3 passes plus a little neck touch up and I am near BBS. I opened up yesterday's weeper again this morning though. Finished with the Barbershop, as I'll try to use a Stirling product each day as part of the 'mini focus'. Haven't gone to get any Drug Store aftershave yet. Will do so tonight. Have a great day all!
Awesome picture and an awesome razor, Brian! Everytime you post a picture of it, I think 'Super Sophisticated Prison Shiv'.

SOTD Stirling SEptember Ever-Ready 1912 Gem Stainless(? maybe 4th shave) Ever-Ready C40 Stirling "The Lounge" First go with The Lounge, what an incredible scent! Unfortunately something in the scent profile caused a burning sensation shortly after I applied it to my face. Completed the 3 passes and ended with a fabulously smooth shave, but had to use some ASB to soothe the mild irritation. If any of you were looking to try this scent but missed out on the limited release, shoot me a pm, maybe we can work out a trade.
