WHEN you're right, You're RIGHT! And you are pretty much always right...}8^)) I'm totally with you here....GEM got it all perfect with this one... This reminds me...when I was first erdiscovering TWS a few years back...lI was reading a thread ...probably here....and the OP said, "This Damaskeene is a perfect shaver...I could get a perfect shave, shaving in a dark closet and still not cut myself!!!" And some cat answered,"Bet I could cut myself with it..." I fell out! LMAO!!!!! It is a perfect razor though...I only quoted that exchange because it was so funny....whoever posted that....You know who you are!....ha,ha..
September 6th - used a 1912 GEM with a custom handle made by "Rod George Designs". I normally use Carbon SE blades on these razor types and never have issues and from the 1st shave there buttery smooth... Decided to revisit a GEM PTFE & I it seemed a rougher and too sharp on the 1st shave for my skin, I am sticking to Carbon for future shaves....

Thursday's SE Shave Proraso Pre Shave Palmolive Classic Shaving Cream B 400 by Tom Ever-Ready 1924 CVS SE CWR Thayer's Lemon WH Barbasol AS I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The Palmolive Classic Shaving Cream face-lathered well with the B 400 badger brush by Tom. I did the two passes with the Ever-Ready 1924 and CVS SE blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Barbasol AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
SOTD September 7, 2017 A Stirling SEptember Blade: Schick Razor: Schick G8 Brush: Jayaruh #142 black badger Lather: Stirling Piacenza Post: Witch hazel, Stirling Piacenza aftershave WTG, touch-up Schick G8 today as I rotate through my collection. I am alternating injectors and SEs and tomorrow will be the Black Hawk. But today's shave was really nice. The G8 was smooth and easy. Have a great day!
September 7, 2017 Razor: Schick G1 w/custom handle Blade: Chick (1) Brush: Razorock Plissoft 22 Cream: KMF fragrance-free Post: Alum, Listerine, WH I've been feeling a bit guilty about not using the G1 in a while, so I decided to pull it out for today's shave. This is an early G1 (with a "Schick Injector" spring which must have been left over from the E series) and it has a narrower safety bar than my E2 and G8. As a result, it is very "blade forward" and seems aggressive. I tried to keep a light touch and watch my angle and ended up with a near BBS, but with two weepers on my chin and some lingering irritation. Maybe someone with multiple E's and G's can clear something up for me. I have (among others) an E2, G1, and G8. The E2 and G8 have very similar head geometry with regard to the depth (width?) of the safety bar while the G1 seems to have a shallower/narrower one. I'm curious... was the narrower SB introduced during the run of the E series or with the G1? Also, did it revert prior to the G8? Thanks...
