    Pre-shave: Hot shower
Soap cream: Nivea Sensitive Shaving Gel
    Razor: Schick Type I
    Blade: Chinese Schick (2nd use)
Post Shave: Witch Hazel, Nivea Sensitive Balm, Pinaud Musk

I've forgotten to post to this thread since I'm only shaving with one my SE razors this month. I've shaved with this Schick Type I for the past 5 days. This is only the 2nd Schick injector razor I've acquired and I'm liking them A LOT. I see more in my future. After today I'm moving on to another SE razor in the inventory.... just haven't decided which one yet. We'll see....

DFS with these tools tonight. First time with this shave bowl and razor handle. Both worked very well.
When you see a date for Old Spice Decanters the first date is when the decanter was introduced and the second date is the last year they produced that decanter.

    A Tale of Two Blades
After beginning the Month with modern SEs , I thought it time to go Vintage. As I had some Vintage Blades honed up for me it seemed silly not to give one a try. So I loaded an Ever Ready blade into what is probably my favourite 1912 , a nice brass Gem Junior. I actually prefer it to the Damaskeene, which I have passed on.

I started cautiously and found the combo to be quite harsh and aggressive, so confined myself to work on the cheeks. To be honest despite numerous passes the whiskers were not being cleared very well. I tried a few strokes around the neck which convinced me that this Razor/Blade combo was not working, far too uncomfortable.

To finish the Shave, I reloaded the Razor with a New Gem PTFE blade. The Transformation was immediate, the shave was now as smooth as silk and also efficient . In what seemed no time I completed the Shave which was nice and close all round, without any mishaps. At least I found out that I can quite easily use a fresh blade in the Gem without any problems.

    Proraso Pre Shave
    Palmolive Classic Shaving Cream
    B 400 by Tom
    Dubl Duck 5/8
    Schick G
    Personna Stainless
    CWR
    Thayer's Lemon WH
    Barbasol AS

I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The Palmolive Classic Shaving Cream face-lathered well with the B 400 badger brush by Tom. I did the first pass with the Dubl Duck 5/8. Because it is SEptember, I did the second pass with the Schick G 66 with a Personna Stainless blade. I ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Barbasol AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
