Yes indeed it a certain "buy again" soap. In fact it is one of the soaps I want to always have on hand.

I've shaved with this Schick Type I for the past 5 days. This is only the 2nd Schick injector razor I've acquired and I'm liking them A LOT. I see more in my future. After today I'm moving on to another SE razor in the inventory.... just haven't decided which one yet. We'll see....

Sat 9th SEptember A Tale of Two Blades After beginning the Month with modern SEs , I thought it time to go Vintage. As I had some Vintage Blades honed up for me it seemed silly not to give one a try. So I loaded an Ever Ready blade into what is probably my favourite 1912 , a nice brass Gem Junior. I actually prefer it to the Damaskeene, which I have passed on. I started cautiously and found the combo to be quite harsh and aggressive, so confined myself to work on the cheeks. To be honest despite numerous passes the whiskers were not being cleared very well. I tried a few strokes around the neck which convinced me that this Razor/Blade combo was not working, far too uncomfortable. To finish the Shave, I reloaded the Razor with a New Gem PTFE blade. The Transformation was immediate, the shave was now as smooth as silk and also efficient . In what seemed no time I completed the Shave which was nice and close all round, without any mishaps. At least I found out that I can quite easily use a fresh blade in the Gem without any problems.
Saturday's Shave Proraso Pre Shave Palmolive Classic Shaving Cream B 400 by Tom Dubl Duck 5/8 Schick G Personna Stainless CWR Thayer's Lemon WH Barbasol AS I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The Palmolive Classic Shaving Cream face-lathered well with the B 400 badger brush by Tom. I did the first pass with the Dubl Duck 5/8. Because it is SEptember, I did the second pass with the Schick G 66 with a Personna Stainless blade. I ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Barbasol AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Really enjoying SEptember! Here's a look at Sunday's lineup to kick off the new shave/workweek... The MMOC is really shaving great!
Ain't it amazing what you can find just lying on the ground when you take a walk in the woods? Nice pic. Herm
Hey....the OCMM is one of my all-time faves and provided my first SE flirtation....But don't be bad mouthing the "Mick's" favorite razor.........That FW is the razor that took Mickey Mantle fron "Striking Out" with a chick to a "Home-Run"!!!! Can't ask more than that from a razor... If that didn't sell some razors....lol! I know I wanted one when I first saw it....and I wasn't old enough to shave..
