Our local Cici's Pizza quit stocking anchovies. So I did what Boy Scout's do - got prepared. On a visit to their fine dining establishment I placed my order for thin crust, white sauce, mushrooms, green & black olives, banana peppers, and 'chovies. When the order taker started to respond with the prerecorded "We don't have those anymore..." I held up the can I brought with me. BYOF? Yes, they will install aftermarket pizza accessories.

Hahaha. Now that's thinking!

Do they charge an uncorking fee?

No, Sir. I'm glad I brought a small tin because they put it all on one 10-12" square crust. I'm guessing when they order food stocks the cans are larger. This gave me freshly opened rather than crusty from the fridge, slightly used salty fish. Good stuff.

Good idea. It always breaks my heart when a pizza joint doesn't have anchovies.

Which is why penguins love pizza so much.

A lactose-intolerant penguin, obviously.
