The Feather Weight prefers the stainless blade over a carbon steel one. Not sure why, just the way it is. Anyway, got a fine shave out of these items. The Long Rifle SS just gives me an adequate lather but the scent is absolutely AMAZING! I'll work on this SS more to see if I can get the lather I want or if I have to settle for adequate to enjoy the AMAZING scent. Now go enjoy your day folks

Chiseled Face Ghost Town Barber today. 20 seconds to load the JB Silvertip brush. Easy, thick, slick, lather. Vintage Gillette Platinum-Plus still in the Gillette Black Beauty. Excellent smooth, close shave. I finished with Chiseled Face Ghost Town Barber aftershave.

Two days of growth mowed down efficiently by the Pushbutton. Great Menthol Monday edition with the Glacial Lemon Chill. Terrific soap and splash. Love the cold menthol effect.

Polar opposites, the aggressive Jaws/Mastiff Frankrenrazor and the mild postwar Tech with the Star handle. Beard with Senator Franken, smooth and super close as expected with the Tian Li. I usually shim the Tech and Star for my head shaves but went bareback this morning. The Tech with a SuperMax Blue Diamond Titanium got me almost there, near BBS in my expected two passes but I just couldn't find an angle to get some of the stubborn stubble. I finished with Franken which picked up more than I thought was there. Unshimmed I find this Tech effective but a not very enjoyable shave, too little feel and feedback.

More than just a passable shave, not quite DFS, but pretty good. The razor/Wilkinson blade performed with honor." Smooth as silk". I think, with Proraso and a good pre shave I will start getting closer to "Baby". Definitely on my way back.
