An ebay lot with a straight, strop, swaty stone and some diamond paste. Plus another order of badger knots! Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
Successful day I would say. L4 Starburst destined to be a gift Blacktip which Im excited to try Badger brush from west germany, appears to be a Biltmore Brush. Not finding a lot of info on this brand so far. Rubberset brush to restore. I already have a knot waiting for it at home! Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
I had a pretty good morning this month at the Antiques Fair. The Milord looks to be unused. One vendor threw in a grab bag of six razors. Four look restorable (one has some crust on it). Two are going straight to the trash bin. All in all, not a bad day for less than $100.00.
From @Morman Bridge, a few tucks of blades. Now waiting to buy a Segal razor sometime soon.............
Been kicking around getting some nacets and greens for a while. Never tried the nacets before though. Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk

It's been a couple of days since I purchased anything shave related so here goes: A very nice and shiny A1 Flare Tip. I've already got an A4 and a Z3 but they're only in average condition. This little guy came in it's plastic box (spring still works) for the handsome sum of $11. Nothing more than an overnight soak in dish soap and then a couple rounds of Scrubbing Bubbles and a toothbrush.
A little eight ounce jar of Burma Shave that is (believe it or not) full of product for $12. I didn't stick a spoon down in it to see if it's still cream in the middle but the top, bottom, and sides are in powder form. There are little shiny bits so it kind of reminds me of colored sand that kids put in glass containers (sand art). It still smells like shaving cream and the scent reminds me of Arko or Derby. I also purchased a Gillette Slim for $6 but it's currently soaking in dish soap and not ready for pictures yet.
Gorgeous!! I acquired a TV special a couple of weeks ago which is pretty shiny but I am wondering if it could be more so after seeing yours. Very nice
Thank you. But I don't think the TV Special came until 1958. I wondered the same thing when I was buying it (eBay) because I didn't know the date code and only noticed the horizontal lines on the flared knob. I double checked with Mr Razor (and a few other sources) and then noted that my other old ones (A4 and Z3) have the same markings but my newer one (1966) doesn't have the horizontal lines. Maybe one of our resident experts can chime in.
Oh right haha. I have no idea when yours is from but it sure is pretty That's mine there next to my Rocket HD
