I went "hunting" yesterday and came across this lovely item. This is the first adjustable razor I've ever owned. After some soaking, cleaning, brushing and elbow grease I got it cleaned up pretty well. I'm committed to using only SE razors this month but I'll try this out in October. It's a Gillette P3 (1970).
The Craftsman strop I won on the TSD raffle came in today. JoAnna also included an Ever-Ready 100 that needs to be restored. I am going to give it a go.
Good price on the three puck set. Ten and one half ounces of triple milled shea & lanolin for under fifteen bucks in Blue Floid, Blood Orange, & Lime. Looking forward to hearing your reviews! They also have a Rubberset 400 style brush - in solid aluminum - for entirely too cheap...
Yesterday I received my prize from the recent TSD raffle. A triple set of English Leather cologne - (8 oz / 3.4 oz / 1.7 oz) - a very nice addition to my collection. and then a Mennen Skin Bracer gift set I picked up for 20 bucks - 3.5 oz Cool Spice aftershave and 2.5 oz Spice deodorant. The deodorant has shrunk a bit but it is still usable. The aftershave has lost most of it's staying power but it is still usable as well. I'm not exactly sure on the age but there's a UPC symbol on the box so it can't be too old (relatively speaking).
Well I fell way behind on my haul, so here is some of it. Left to right ... Rubberset #153 Fuller 0 Heldtite #48050 Mayd Well Unknown wooden brush Certifyd #5 Rocket Flare in need of the TTO knob and vintage US military duffle bag That should keep me busy.
I hauled a new razor from Tampa Shave Company. The head configuration was a little different from many others I have. Used the first time yesterday. I was sorta rushed, but it was a very close shave. The reactor razor feels very heavy. I'll pay more as life gets back to normal. Does anyone recognize the head design? Or is a it new design?
I bought a man bag about three weeks ago, finally started to use it. I think it will be great for work. I'd like opinions; are they a nice accessory for a man or are they a purse?
Pics before comments. Manly ... attache case, brief case, or satchel Not manly ... fanny packs, murse.
I have half a dozen. Too much crap to carry around all the time and I'm not always wearing cargo pants. I've got nice leather (dressy) and cordura (sporty). They're great for all sorts of things (tablet computer, multiple smart phones, concealed weapons, clear and shaded bifocals, medical needs, books, etc.). You can call it a man bag, a purse, a tote, whatever... Satchels and messenger bags are generally larger than the size I carry but I've heard those names used for the smaller ones as well. I think they're a very handy accessory.
