Quick budget shave today: Flare tip SuperSpeed Sputnik blade The Body Shoppe Maca Root shave cream Barbasol Brisk This is another soap that I don't reach for enough, as it always works incredibly well for me. I don't mind the scent, either. Barbasol Brisk is a fantastic aftershave for $1.20. In all, top notch results all around with two quick, easy passes. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
I think you need to lower your sights a bit. A half eaten box of last year's Girl Scout cookies might be more realistic.
Back to work The edge on the big Koraat felt great, very smooth and very sharp, I was wondering would today be a record? Will today be 3 consecutive epic shaves? I thought I nailed it but there was a tickle from the alum and smooth but not long lasting enough for an A+. All in all a wonderful shave though. Cause it had Adam's ball germs all over it? I didn't toss it, I was just kidding. I am not sure of the actual provenance of the bottle. @PLAla PIFfed it to me, then I think I remember him saying later it came from @Drygulch . It has sort of sat on my shelf untouched since, wondering if I need a Haz-Mat team to get rid of it, or if it is relatively unpolluted with Fromunda.
-Henckels 72 1/2 -Simpson Classic 2 -Stirling Gentleman I broke my shavette focus today, cause I am only home a day or two a week lately, and I am missing a straight shave. Some days it is nice to not worry about stropping and immaculate rinsing and stropping again, and a wipedown with oil the next morning before it gets put away..... but sometimes the ritual is really relaxing. Today was one of those times. I left the bathroom claiming BBS, but found a little miss under my jaw later. Still a fantastic shave. Gentleman comes out of the bottle smelling a little harsh, or chemical-ly, or something. Every time my wife smells it right after I,put it on, I get a look like I just soiled my pants, or a comment about it being too strong, or too much etc.... Give it 15 minutes to a half hour to dry down? She's purring like Eartha Kitt and telling me how good I smell. Tonight I got a purr out of the deal.
Just a quick update. No shaves since Friday. I had a tooth decide to abscess on Thursday and am now on antibiotics to calm it down so we can fix it. The pain has been, how shall I put it.........beyond bad. Worked yesterday but not today as I went to get the antibiotics and slept most of the day away with fever and all the fun stuff. I'm supposed to work tomorrow if I'm able so I'll be a shaggy dude for a day. Hope to return to my routine tomorrow night or Tuesday. Hope you all had a great weekend!
September 2017 Sheep Sunday! Love Sheep Sundays. Quiet day on the prairie. Other than that...all is quiet in Colorado. Have a magnificent Monday!
SEptember 18, 2017 OneBlade Genesis V2 Feather FHS Shavemac Silvertip D01 3 Band Mystic Water Lilac Captain’s Choice Bay Rum A great shave is good way to start the work week. The MW Lilac soap is so slick that it makes shaving a joy. Two and 1/2 passes ended in a near perfect shave. I really can't ask for better. I hope everyone has a great Monday.
Hoping and praying for a quick relief from the pain. That doesn't sound like too much fun. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
I feel your pain, literally, as I went through one back in February. I ended up using a Mach3 for a couple of shaves as I didn't trust the unfamiliar contours of my swollen face.
