    Yeah, I spent some time last night trying to figure out why it works so well. Not sure still, but I'll note that the base plate is almost identical to the Segal but with a narrower top cap. I can't figure out what the relationship between the two manufacturers might have been, but the similarity between their handles and baseplate suggest there might have been one. FWIW note that the patent for the Cooper provided for an adapter that would allow the use of Segal blades.
