Thank you Andrew. It's starting to falter a little but as long as it continues to give shaves like it did today I will proceed along the path.
No spacer, just a floppy knot. It would have worked great had I used the Tuxedo. I'm not unhappy as it still performs well and looks great on this gorgeous handle.
Another day another great shave giving some love to the Tabac pairs well with Stetson face feels amazing. Sent from my XT1710-02 using Tapatalk
I shaved at the gym, so my wife didn't get to smell. I honestly don't know if I have ever used it around her.
That's a beautiful wooden shaving bowl and lid you keep your Stirling Barbershop soap in, Jason. I've noticed it before and meant to comment on it.
I can't take any credit for it, John. It is a Crabtree and Evelyn soap bowl that I repurposed for samples.
The bowls on the C&E website still look the same (my bowl is at least 3 years old) and they say it is Teak. I have a Teak dresser that is similar enough. I'd say it is probable that it is Teak with a bit darker finish.
I was thinking walnut or dark weathered oak but that makes more sense, because Teak is one of those tropical woods with a high oil content that last well in a maritime environment, isn't it. It's a very elegant soap holder in any event.
It was a very nice DFS. I think the PAL blades are going to bear away the bell. I haven't decided if I'm gonna go back to them next week or get a jump on OCtober by going to my NEW SC.
Going off of what you said, I ordered one, but in two band. They are super high lofted knots. I was lucky enough that the handle was drilled extra deep so it worked fine. I ordered another one, but the handle I want to put it in will need to be drilled out some more. Set 15mm deep, it was going to be like 24x63 or some such. Good knots, but stupid tall.
