Busy day. I had to call my insurance company, as I dinged my front fender. I’m fine, but it still needs fixing. Next a trip to Costco on a sore foot followed by a call to my doctor’s billing office to deal with the fact that they keep billing me for an office visit that I paid for when I was there. This was in April.
So I saw this guy the other day and he's got a bunch of wire sticking out of his pocket. I said to myself..I says self, you know that guy must have agreed to wearing this wire. If you remember that other guy had adamantly refused to wear a freakin' wire..but not this guy..he just went right along with it. Different strokes I guess...
Moving back to western NY and setting up an apartment and everything that goes with it is quite stressful, but must remember God is in control.
It’s a good thing I went ut to get milk earlier today. That’s because, when my husband was leaving for work, he discovered that his car wouldn’t start, so he neeeded to take mine. I will call AAA later, when it’s cooler, to deal with his car.
It's the days I don't do much physically that I think about Him. Maybe it's part of getting older. Maybe it's because it's always after an eventful day. Maybe it's both.
Update- AAA has been & gone. It was the battery, which I consider good news, as it is the fastest and least costly possibility (the others being a bad starter or alternator.). They replaced the battery on the spot, so now I can just relax.
I woke up in the early hours of Wednesday to a sharp pain in my arm. It turns out I've somehow messed up my shoulder to the point that I must have pinched the median nerve. The result is something that feels like the worst case of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome in my dominant hand. It's made it difficult to type, let alone shave. (I now have a new appreciation of long-handled razors.)
My granddaughter had her 3rd birthday party yesterday, it's actually today. I'm so thankful that the good Lord blessed us with such a caring and lovely young lady. No matter what is going on in this crazy thing we call life the sound of my granddaughter saying Grandpa makes everything okay. I am blessed. PTL.
double like. For my birthday last year, friends of mine gave me a coffe mug which says, "I've cut down to just one cup a day." The mug purportedly holds a gallon of liquid.
After living with a couple chihuahuas for the last 15+ years, I can verify that this is pretty accurate...
Very emotional day for me......My sister and I joined our uncle and \aunt at their senior citizens homw for the Memorial Service the Home does for residents who have passed away. Even though my Mom was there for only 9 days, her name was on the list. Our Uncle and Aunt are regular residents there, and it was too bas for all of us that my mom's health took that bad quick spin so that she didn't survive there long. At the memorial, I just tore up due to the music, the lyrics, ansd the hymns offered. And now I'll be the opening "eulogizer" at the main service in a couple weeks. But this was a day I needed to have-griefwise
