C 25 SEptember 2017 Menthol Monday Blade Focus Shave Pre: Hot water, soap off the puck and a hot towel Razor: '67 Gillette Slim Adjustable Blade: Sputnik Brush: Omega 10098 Boar Soap: Catie's Bubbles "Sunrise" Post: Hot/Cold water rinse, alum block, cold towelx2, Dominello Vitali Calming Post Shave Moisturizer After Shave: Proraso Green Lozione Dopobarba This morning for Menthol Monday, I went with Catie's Bubbles "Sunrise". I really like the scent of this soap and it really is an eye opener. Nice and slick during the shave and it leaves a great post face feel. Left the Slim on the triple natural(7,7,7) for my 2.5 pass shave. The Sputnik blade reminds me of both the Voskhod and GSB. If I'm not mistaken, they come out of the Gillette factory in St. Petersburg. Anyway, the Slim/Sputnik duo laid a very nice BBS on me for the first day of the workweek. Splashed on Proraso Green and away we went. Have a good 'un TSD!
I thought my OT was in nice shape, but that is one shiny razor, Neal. Another nice pic of another beautiful razor, Brian. May I ask how many straights you own now? Great photo of a great combo, Jim. Stunning brush and stunning photo, Clint.
Great photo Perry. Love the brush Jason. CB Sunrise description seems like it would be a very good soap.
Beautiful OT Neal! Nery nice, Brian! I've shaves with a bunch of Personna's this months, but havent had a second shave on any of them. Maybe I should reuse a razor to see if they smooth out even more. Great pic, Jim! what a stunning duo, Clint! MMmm, iced pineapple! And a great photo too Perry! Nice photo, Jason! Sputnik, the blade Voskhod wishes it could be!
Clint, the first time I used it there was a surprise menthol shot on the second pass as well as a great peppermint scent throughout.
SOTD Stirling SEptember Schick E3 injector Personna Surrey reknot Stirling Executive Man Fine Platinum AS Very nice shave with the E3, I can definitely tell that its a little more aggressive then the Gs but nowhere near the level of the type F or Pal IM. LOVE Creed Aventus type scents! Have a great day friends!
Thank you, that is a 24mm TGN 3 band synthetic. Jim @jimjo1031 actually did the reknot for me and he did a great job!
Ivan? Ivan who? don't know anyone by that name. Never heard of him. Sorry, can't help you. (Note to Yuri - Recover Ivan - dead, alive, same thing.)
Nice combo, Andrew. I agree with you on aggressiveness- E a little more than G, but not near an Injectomatic.
