    Pre-shave: hot shower
    Soap: VDH Deluxe puck
    Brush: Marvy boar
    Razor: Eversharp Hydromatic I2
    Blade: Chinese Schick (2)
Post-shave: Dickinson's witch hazel, Nivea Sensitive Balm, Pinaud Bay Rum

Enjoyed a nice shave after a day of lawn work. This is the 2nd time I've used this razor, acquired 3 days ago. I like it, but I'm liking all of my injector razors so far. I went with the VDH soap today because I like the scent, it's easy to build into a slick protective lather. I had a 2 pass, comfortable, close shave with some clean up on the neck. I got one nick on my neck which is still burning a little, but that was entirely my fault. I got carried away trying to clean up some stubborn stubble on the neck.

    Enjoy your shaves, everyone!

Awesome Shave, that VDH deluxe soap is criminally underrated and over looked. Its got amazing slickness and super easy to get rich and creamy lather ! also very cheap and along with Williams mug it is the ONLY hard soap puck I can buy at my local drug store... I also love that clean fresh soapy scent - almost like a baby wipe scent - just simple and fresh//

9/26/2017 -> Used the Schick Type E again with 2nd shave on the NOS vintage K-mart blade - very efficient! aggressive enough that it demands the proper angle or Razor burn will happen - Awesome shave..[IMG]

Eddison Floating Head AOS MNSBS SM AOS.jpeg You know what’s been missing from the classic SE shaves I’ve had this month? A twin blade. That’s what been missing. My Eddison Floating Head with a twin blade delivers about as perfect a shave as you can get. Super easy, super smooth, super close. The floating head is not gimmick - it really does ride the curves and keeps near perfect contact at all times. This is a private label from Israel and is identical to my Personna Floating Head. Everyone should have one, they are that good. :happy036:

    Karl,

That's a nice looking razor. I have never heard of it before, and I'm not familiar with a Personna Floating Head. I assume they're vintage? Who makes blades for those? Thanks.

Here’s picture of a NOS Personna Floating Head in it’s original packaging. They were sold with the infamous Personna 74 blades. However, I’ve never put a 74 in one. The twin blades paired with it are amazing. :happy088:

Any standard injector blade will work with them. :)

A less than good Shave with one of my favourite razors, can only assume that the blade may well be a duffer, as I have used them before with success.

Beautiful bakelite handle on that Type E, @EzraCobb!

I'm starting to dip my toes into the Schick injector pool. Finding a lot of Type E and Type G at good prices, but the blade stops on the heads seem to be worn down in 75% of the razors I look at. Is this a common issue with the older Schicks?

I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The Williams Mug Shaving Soap face-lathered well with the Jayaruh #206 badger brush. I did two passes with the GEM 1914 razor and a CVS SE blade. I ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Pinaud Clubman AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Today's photo was inspired by @clint64 and his B&W photos.

So I really didn't need to shave this morning. Yesterday's shave was better than I originally thought, but today is Williams Wednesday I didn't want to miss out on any of the fun. The blade is a Feather High Stainless with 6 shaves on it. I believe the blade is starting to wane. I have a pack of the Feather CS blades and a strop I am going to try out next month to see how long I can make that blade last.
