Because it's Zamak the 34c is a non starter for a good chunk of the community. Nix. Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
But we can all agree on Arko and The Veg, so it's OK. Right? For an efficient, available, easy to use DE; SuperSpeed gets my vote. Getting nitty gritty; Flare Tip for Post WWII abundance. Fine detail & my preference; Red Tip because aggressive is a matter of perspective.
The pre-war Tech, yes! Injector, not for me. The Featherweight is one razor that just doesn't give me a close shave, I'll go with the 1912, any of the many versions of the 1912.
I have one Canadian and two USA pre-war Techs, they all shave the same, which is to say, they are fantastic shavers!
Me neither. I shavette instead. Similar learning curve though.... My fave safety razor is the Schick G or the Fatip.
There are quite a few that I could be happy with if I could only have one from now on; DE - Gillette OLD, New, pre-war Tech, Super Speed, - the Star (as good or better than a Tech), - the Fatip Piccolo. SE - GEM/Ever-Ready/Star 1912, MMOC, Shovelhead. As far as everyone agreeing, ha! The pre-war Tech would do for most DE guys, and I would think the 1912 would suffice for most SE guys. I'm not a fan of most modern doo-dads, or anything with a plastic handle, even if it is vintage, so I'm gonna stand pat on those two razors.
Which doesn't belong in this thread because many find it too aggressive or futzy with alignment. It's not a favorite razor thread it's about a consensus razor. There's only one correct answer. Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
That wasn't an apology. My post about the Fatip was a response to another post in this thread, and it was quoted for clarity.
