The cashmere is outstanding Jim. I really like it in the brass handle. I also have one in a Rubberset 400. Work great too.

    October 4

Razor - Gillette New LC Delta Echo Raffle Winner
    Blade - [IMG] (1)
    Soap - Soap Commander Courage
    Brush - Stirling Synthetic
    Post - Alum

After being asked earlier if I preferred the Old Type or the New, I decided to use the New LC the next three shaves. I had great shaves from the OT and Voskhod, so let's just compare. The New isn't as aggressive as the OT so I also decided to throw a bone to the Yakuza (and to pay respects to Charlie) and load up a Feather. Sharp blade, medium aggressive razor, should be a good match.

The Stirling synthetic brush is nice and big and made quick work of loading the Soap Commander. Got a great slick and cushy lather and went to work. I used the same basic approach with this setup as I did the OT. Ride the cap and let the razor do the work. Two passes and some neck touch up and I have a very nice DFS in the house. One minor nick on my right neck but nothing to write home about. Overall a great shave and the alum was only stinging in a couple of minor spots in addition to the nick. Smooth and effective are the words that come to mind.

MON DIEU, what a shave this was - the Gin & Tonic on the Rocks soap buried my face in such super-rich lather, that fantastic lemony/lime scent was ever present, and the menthol effect was so cooling as well as invigorating. A good massage with the Lucky Tiger balm made me feel so good - the moisturizing and cooling was absolutely sensational from it. After using a little of the Arctique aftershave my face felt and still feels 1,000% frozen-solid. BBS in three effortless passes!

Wishing y'all great shaves and a wonderful day!
