Thank you Charlie. I really like Jeff's Soap. I like to say that it is a great soap for an even greater cause. The proceeds from the sale of the soap help with Jeff's medical costs. http://theshaveden.com/forums/threads/help-for-a-dear-friend-jeffs-soap.57032/

I like it! It has a clean and refreshing cedar and pine scent and a good amount of menthol. The scent isn't one that hovers and hangs around all day. My mother-in-law brought this bottle back from Germany this past summer. In fact she brought the Wilkinson shave stick as well. I always get her to look for shaving goodies when she travels!
October 5, 2017 Razor: English Gillette Flat Bottom New Blade: Dorco STD-301 (2) Brush: Razorock Plissoft 22 Cream: KMF fragrance-free Post: Alum, Listerine, WH Still having issues with my dominant hand/arm, but I decided to push through with a "normal" shave. The Flat-Bottom New is still a fairly recent acquisition but has turned out to be quite impressive. The blade was chosen as a bit of an experiment; it is the Dollar Store Dorco which, as we learned a while back, only performs well in a razor that can hold it stiff enough. Bottom line- the Flat Bottom New can hold the blade firmly. Overall, a comfortable two-pass near-BBS with just a little noise from the Alum.
5 OCtober Pre-Shave: Hot Shower Brush: 24mm Silvertip Frank Shaving (FS) Soap: Port-Au-Prince, Stirling Soap Co. Razor: Valet VC2, Autostrop Blade: Feather FAS-10 Carbon Steel(CS), Feather Seikan (4) Post-Shave: Cold Water rinse, OSMA Alum block and Clubman After Shave Lotion Photo: This photo is for all the nature lovers Last week I ordered the Wife some soap and lip balm from Stirling. I sneaked in an Alum block and a 1oz Sample puck of Port-Au-Prince in the order for myself. Is that wrong? I purchased the PAP because it is a mutton tallow soap. I had a tub of Electric Sheep that I gave away to a co-worker. It was the slickest lather I have ever used. I believed the slickness was in part due to the fact that it was a mutton tallow soap. When talking about slickness, I now compare all others to the Sheep. This mornings shave I did a little differently. Instead of long strokes with the razor I did little short stokes. I don't know if it was the short strokes, my technique or the blade has finally settled down but I got a DFS out of it this morning. A little closer than yesterday. Finished it all off with a splash of Clubman and I'm ready for another day at the office. Yesterday I posted what blades I can make fit in the razor with and with out modifying the razor. Someone asked how an injector blade would fit as it is not as wide/tall as a typical SE blade. I will take photos of what I was talking about and post them tomorrow.
I enjoy looking at your different straight razors. Congrats on such an extensive collection. Oh my goodness. I really like the brush handle and wish Simpson would make their synthetic withthis stripped handle I do hope and pray you get some relief soon. Fantastic photo. How was the PAP soap?
Thanks... I appreciate it. I have a Neurologist appointment tomorrow for an EMG to see if I'm dealing with Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. Just to keep things fun, now there is the possibility of Cardio issues. When I originally went to the Urgent Care for the arm, they did an EKG. No heart attack, but the doctor did see something odd. I followed up with my Cardiologist who had me take an Echo and a Stress Test. Yesterday, the office called to move my follow-up appointment to this Monday. No details, so far, but I'm assuming that some sort of advanced diagnostic (Cath?) and/or procedure is the next step.
