So 8 months ago I would jump in with my favorite soap now I would have to ask best how? Best scent Barrister and Mann because they kill it with great scents. Best slickness DR Harris it's like ice. Best Value Stirling for great scents Arko for straight up value Cheapest Williams And all of this is probably just scratching the surface Sent from my XT1710-02 using Tapatalk
Dr Harris for great slickness? I have a puck of their Marlboro and I really don't get hardly any slickness . I love the scent but it ain't slick.
Really? It's quite possibly the slickest soap I have it's like ice. Marlborough to be exact. I was amazed at it. Sent from my XT1710-02 using Tapatalk
Shaving is all subjective. Every aspect of it. Razors - some like aggressive some like mild. Some love vintage only others love modern only. Some love the de and some love the se Blades - some believe in one brand over the other Pre shave- some swear by it and others don't Soaps- some love a certain brand some hate them. Some use vegan only some tallow. Some like creams only some love croaps. Brushes- some love the badger , some love the synthetic and others love the boar.
Best tallow soaps I have used so far are from Stirling. They have fairly strong scents and excellent performance. However, I have to agree with Linuxguile. The best are the ones you like the best. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
Yeah, not mine. I use it because I love the scent. But hardly any slickness to it. I've bloomed it and I've loaded for 30 seconds or more. I've done it with damp and dry brushes and added water until the lather was pillow thick to runny and waterlogged.
For stick I think I will have to say the original Camelot stick. This is a Turkish stick similar to Arko, just with a much more pleasant scent. Unfortunately this stick has been reformulated and now it smells like Arko and burns my face. Second place is the Sir Irisch Moos stick while DR Harris comes in on third place. For regular soaps, I am not sure. Maybe the original AoS soap, followed by the original Fitjar soap produced before they went vegan.
For the shave stick format without having to mill and press into a shave stick container I'd say Tabac and DR Harris are some of the better tallow soaps out there. La Toja is a fantastic stick as well but I'm not certain if its tallow.
@Linuxguile you should try Wholly Kaw in tallow with Donkey Milk version, trust me is BLOODY FANTASTIC!! Get the King of Oud (tallow) Donkey Milk
