What part of the state is Dundy county in? I live in Douglas County Ne. It is in the eastern part of the state. Bordering Iowa.

South west corner. I was twenty miles from Kansas and twenty miles from Colorado. My father was originally from the sand hills up near Thedford, Ne. He now lives in Chadron, out in the pan handle. I am living out east, 30min south of Washington DC.

    Hi
I believe some blade supply Co has them in USA, but I order them from Japan from UK, though others have ordered from USA.
IF you google Chic Babies B-20 you should get them on the Website- Rakuten Global Market.
    1. You have to register as Member to buy, very easy and no cost.

    2. We in UK order 2 packets & avoid Customs , 40 blades each good for 7 + Shaves.

3 The Key to ordering is to avoid EMS Shipping which is expensive. Put note to supplier specifying Post Small Packet. You do not pay until you are advised of Shipping cost. Delivery to UK about 2 weeks.

PS They also sell the Type P which is 50mm, and fits the Mongoose, Cobra etc
    Happy searching/shopping - Mike B.

    RazoRock Plissoft 24mm
    P & B Spitfire
    ER 1912 Bathroom Set
    Gem S/S [ 1 ] + 1/2 spine shim
    Alum Rub/Rinse off
    Jaguar Prestige A/S Lotion

    ER 1912 Rediscovered :)
In my early days of SE shaving I started off using a 1912, and then moved on to the 1914,1924 and my favourite the Streamline. Whilst I have used a Gem Junior 1912 recently, I have not used the ER versions for a couple of years. As others have been proclaiming its merits , I thought it only fair to give it a go again.

As I have always found the British ER 1912, a bit harsh , I decided to use a 1/2 spine shim initially. I started the Shave on my RH side, and the Shave was smooth and efficient. Removing the Shim I completed the Shave on the LH side, Chin and upper lip. Whilst a little bit more aggressive the action was not unpleasant, and I was extremely pleased at the finished Shave quality.

Though I am intending to thin my herd of 1912s out, but will hang on to some of the different ones i.e. Bathroom Set, Peerless etc.

I haven't used my boar in awhile and have been thinking about putting it in a cup of water to help with the brake-in period. I read some where here at TSD that if you put a brush in a cup of water then stick it in the fridge for three days it will come out with split ends. I had the brush pretty broke in before but it had to much loft for me and was just too floppy, so I gave it a hair cut. Now I have to start all over again trying to break it in.

I recently ordered this bottle Clubman Bay Rum from the interweb. This morning I tried pairing it with a soap and came up Uncle Jon's Pipe Smoke. I think the scents are close enough to complement one another. The AS has a very clovey, cinnamon smell. The Wife thought it smelled of "Big Red Gum".

Now on to the reason we are all here, "The Shave". Today was day 8 on this blade. The blade gave just as close a shave as it has before, still not BBS, but no where as smooth. As a matter of fact this shave was as rough as the first shave with the blade. Tonight I will put a new blade in it then strop it twenty times. So as there is no questions as to how those twenty times will be counted, 1 time is the back and forth motion down the length of the strop.

It was a BBS shave this morning with my PAL adjustable and some Williams soap (it's Williams Wednesday). I haven't used this razor in a few months, but really need to use it more often as it's so good.
