I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The Soap Commander Renewal face-lathered well with the Jayaruh #222 synthetic brush. I did two passes with the Gillette Goodwill razor and Gillette Silver Blue blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Peach WH and then Pinaud Vanilla AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

THE (Columbus Day) GRAND PACIFIC SHAVE​

Two new passions: cheap shaving with Barbasol, and a new budget razor
I decided that the Pacific Razor combined with Barbasol Pacific Rush shave cream would rule the shave today.
RAZOR: Pacific Quality Stainless DE Razor (Handle)
BLADE: Pacific (5) Double Edge blades - with FREE handle (see above)!
PREP: hot water wash with Ivory Soap and rinse
BRUSH: NO
PRESHAVE: NO
CREAM: BARBASOL Pacific Rush
POST SHAVE: hot water rinse
AFTER SHAVE: Pinaud Clubman (not pictured)
Total BBS with the Barbasol. Very nice cushion, slickness, and moisture.

Can't beat it. Got a nice 2 pass BBS with minor touchups.
I need to get better control of my shave cream dispensing skills. I always end up with more than I need to coat my face. This stuff is rich & thick.
No worries, I scrape the rest off of my palm into a nearby bowl, ready for the next pass.

My first shave with this economy razor. It provides very good blade exposure. Challenges my SABI GEN1 as my most aggressive TTO.
Blade performed admirably right out of the box with no palm stropping. Not the smoothest, but no problems with the shave.
A very efficient shave left me smooth and clean.

Thank you Gents. Actually picked it up in a Flea Market earlier in the year. Brand spankin new with no edge. They were asking $20 for it. Walked away and came back around a couple hours later, she said $10 and I snatched it up. Not the best steel, made in India I believe but it was workable. I got to work on it with a Shun 1k/6k combo and then a Yoshihiro 8k &12k (and about 50 laps on the strop). She took a pretty good edge. Nice weight and shaves wonderfully.

Tonight's shave was silky smooth, with a restored Covered Tang razor. I had a 2 pass shave, that left me with a near BBS shave. Zero issues, just pure smoothness.

Razor- "Excelsior". Covered tang.
Brush- Stirling Boar
Soap- Arko/Avon Spicy
Aftershave- Pinaud Clubman
