Congrats on the anniversary, Charlie! Did I spell that correctly? C-H-A-R-L-I-E is easier to spell than L-E for me...
Congrats on the three year anniversary. Until you mentioned it I had forgotten we joined at about the same time. My 3 year anniversary on TSD was Oct 1. Like you I have learned much from the members in general and the 30DC in particular.
Thank you, Clint. I remember we started TSD about the same time along with @Bama Samurai. Congrats to you as well! I always enjoy reading your posts and seeing your beautiful photos. I remember that we both purchased B2 Mongoose razors and broke them in at about the same time on the 30DC.
Brian, your straight razor is a beauty! I've never tried Chiseled Face aftershave. How do you like it? Can you describe the Ghost Town Barber scent? And more importantly, is it as good as Hai Karate?
Great set up! Your Old Spice mug is a beauty! Arko is a fantastic soap and likely one of the best values in wet shaving! Fine Platinum is one of my favorite aftershaves!
Thank you, Brian! I started wet shaving in November 2012. I had been using electric razors for 30 years, and I made P-L-E-N-T-Y of mistakes as I got started with my Muhle R89. I watched a lot of Mantic59 and Geofatboy videos, but it would have been great to have a 30DC back then. I enjoy your posts and have learned a lot from you. You bring a lot to the 30DC. You have such variety in your set ups. I always enjoy seeing what you are using. I also enjoy your sense of humor...I assume some of the comments you make are intended to be funny.

Hello Doug. I received your PM and an email a few days ago. I responded to the email. I apologize if I missed something. If so, please let me know!
I think I'm finally caught up on the thread. Whew. Since I don't have an OC, and I don't have a focus, I'll read along with all the stories and look at all the great photos. For today's shave I dug into my little black box (literally) of random tucks of blades (mostly from a sampler pack) and came across the Dorco ST300's. I've yet to try them, so why not give 'em a spin? One little thing I like that they do is double wrap each blade - no sticky residue! I wish more blade manufacturers would follow suit. Overall, a great shave. Favorite blade yet? No. Didn't expect it to be. It was, however, MUCH better than I anticipated. They're better than the VDH Ice Tempered blades, by a decent margin. I'd be lying if I said that it's the smoothest & sharpest blade I've used. They aren't bad blades though. We'll give the shave a "DFS rating". I surely wouldn't order a 100 pack of them, but I'll eventually use up the ones I have. Prior to jumping onto the DE bandwagon, I had been using the Dorco carts and was quite impressed with them. Much cheaper than the Mach3 carts, and just about as good. In the world of carts, Dorco is king when it comes to cost/value. In the world of DE - nah. DE blades are cheap, and there's so many good players! Anyway, there's my unsolicited post... Hope everyone is having a great Tuesday!
Thank you Jason. That's right we did all join about the same time. I have always enjoyed you quick wit and sense of humor. Good to see you posting again. The place wasn't the same without you.
