    Proraso Pre Shave
    Soap Commander Renewal
    Jayaruh #222
    Gillette Sheraton
    Gillette Silver Blue
    CWR
    Thayer's Peach WH
    Pinaud Vanilla

I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The Soap Commander Renewal face-lathered well with the Jayaruh #222 synthetic brush. I did two passes with the Gillette Sheraton razor and Gillette Silver Blue blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Peach WH and then Pinaud Vanilla AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Today’s choice just leapt out at me when it was time to shave. I thoroughly enjoyed it. It just cut through those whiskers smooth as could be. :happy036:

RAZOR: Matador Toro Mastiff Largo - gold; this is an EXCELLENT DE razor. Geometry is aggressive, you can really feel the blade - efficient.
BLADE: Dorco ST300 - a decent blade. I prefer less aggressive blades in more aggressive razors. These blades hold their edge for many shaves.
MUG: Repurposed generic coffee/soup mug. Has a nice wide mouth.
BRUSH: Marvy #923 - from local Sally Beauty
SOAP: Hybrid Soap Col.Conk LIME & Williams Mug Shave soap - I melted the Lime soap & dropped in a Williams puck to make this combo. NICE!
PRESHAVE: Rite Aid Renewal COLD CREAM ( this is a copy of Pond's Cold Cream)
AFTERSHAVE: Barber Shop Classics BOOSTER ICED LIME
    BALM: NONE NEEDED
    MATADOR_Marvy_Lime.jpg
I have been stuck on my DE razors for quite a while- been kinda missing my SR's and Shavettes.
HOWEVER, I really love this DE razor. It is my most aggressive safety razor, but just does such a fine job. Got a fine 2 pass BBS (dolphin smooth) shave with minor touchups.
This is the 1st time I have used the Pond's clone. It is very different than the Noxzema clone. This product feels thicker and greasier on the face. Very protective.
This does not wash off with water alone. I needed soap to get the slickness off of my fingers after applying. The scent is a pleasant sweet/tart smell. Maybe even a citrusy smell.
Yet, the resulting lather was very good. Rich and thick.

The shave was awesome. Very efficient, yet totally smooth. Face feel after is excellent.
Iced Lime finish was very cooling and refreshing. Another great DE shave.

Much needed shave, maybe a week's growth.
RazoRock MJ-90A loaded with a Polsilver blade is as good as it gets on my face.
CRSW Savon No1 is simply the best!
    Fine Lavender never disappoints.
I'm not a big fan of boar brushes, they don't seem to hold much lather, I have no problem going back to the jar, they just don't do it for me. The Semogue Owners Club is a high quality brush.

Tonight's shave was with one from my favorite Maker, and Model. I had a very smooth 2 pass shave that left me with a near BBS, no touch-ups. Zero issues. Very well made Wedge Razor.

Razor- Union Cutlery, "Golden Spike". Wedge Ground Blade.
    Brush- Stirling Boar
Soap- Arko/Avon Spicy. I'm trying to use it all up, so I can make a large batch of something else.
Aftershave- Shulton Old Spice, "Early American Old Spice"

    Pre-shave: hot shower
    No brush
    Barbasol Sensitive Skin shaving cream
    Razor: Gem Micromatic OC
    Blade: Gem Blue Star (2)
Post-shave: Dickinson WH, Nivea Sensitive Balm, Pinaud Musk Cologne

I had been out fishing most of the day so didn't get showered and shaved until this evening. Just wanted a quick shave since it's soon off to bed. I picked up this Sensitive Skin Barbasol last week at Walmart in their travel section bins. I don't believe I've ever used it before. It was very nice. I especially like the scent which reminds me of a Sandalwood scent. Overall, a very good, satisfying shave. I hope everyone is enjoying his / her week!

    OCtober!!!

    October 12

Razor - Gem Micromatic Open Comb
    Blade - [IMG] (3)
    Soap - Tabac
    Brush - 30 DC LE
    Post - Alum

Final shave for the MMOC this round and it was a dandy. I can see how this shaver could become a daily shaver for some. It could for me if I didn't get bored so easily. That's probably something I should work on. Nah....over it already. Need new stimulation. The LE brush makes it easy to get a great lather with the Tabac as all the synthetics have done. I'd be interested to know how long a puck would last with the synthetics. May be an experiment I will have to try sometime. I do love Tabac so I could probably be happy with it through an entire puck.

The finish tonight was definitely BBS. Very smooth yet audible shave and the alum was nice and quiet. No issues and I love that I found this razor.

The plan for tomorrow is to move to the Fatip and give it three shaves like the other OC's. That will finish off all of my current stock of OC razors. I'll circle back through them as well as a few other fun things for the rest of the month as well as using some more soaps. Friday is nearly here! Hope your weekend will be a good one. SWMBO is leaving for the weekend tomorrow so I'll have the house to myself until Sunday night. Of course I work the whole weekend but I do see the opportunity for some "bad food" for a couple of nights. I'm in the mood for Imo's Pizza! Looking forward to it!
