Went to Maine to visit my parents. Took a jaunt out to the eastern most point in our great U.S. of A. Check out how blue that sky is!
For the record number of hurricanes this season, it was nice to the see the water smooth as glass. Photo taken approximately five miles inland from the Gulf of Mexico looking east across Calcasieu Lake.
I recently completed a vacation out West. Yellowstone NP and a drive through Badlands NP. Both are amazingly beautiful. Although I had planned the Yellowstone visit for several months, I was not prepared for the diversity of the scenery. Geysers, springs, Bison, beautiful rivers, and waterfalls. Yellowstone has it all. Nor was I prepared for the altitude. The lowest elevation was 6000 feet plus and the highest 8000 feet plus. Although I have been to Badlands in the past, I wanted to do a drive through since we were passing by on the way home. The YNP picture is of the Artist's Paintpot. Remarkable colors. I have other pictures I plan to post in the future.
I live next to the South Texas Maze in Hondo TX: https://southtexasmaize.com/ Here is this years maze.
I spent the day at Pactola Lake in the Black Hills National Forest which is about a 40 minute drive from my house. Gorgeous day and very relaxing.
As I said earlier, I live next door to the South Texas Maze. One of the attractions the past few years has been helicopter rides. They have been running two R-44's from the pasture behind me. This is one I caught yesterday passing my house on the way to land.
Not really a landscape, but here is one for the John Irving lovers: The statue of Franz Grillparzer in Vienna.
Yellowstone National Park Grand Prismatic Springs Cascade This is a cascade flowing out of the Grand Prismatic Springs in to the Yellowstone River. The sounds and colors were amazing.
I took this one 2 nights back. It's been featured on a few instagram groups...now I'm thinking I should try to monetize my photography... This was taken about 25min away from my place. The deets are: Olympus OMD EM10 ii F3.5 ISO 1600 13s exposures auto stacked for 33+ min. Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
That looks like a car Clive Cusler would be proud of! He's an author that really appreciates vintage cars.
