    Easy, straightforward and enjoyable shave with this combination. No complaints! Nice way to begin the work week.

    SOTD: Early morning shave using this vintage 6/8" 'Horn of Plenty' wedge razor from William Greaves & Sons; Stirling 'Orange Chill' tallow soap, TGN 24" synthetic, and Fine 'L'Orange Noir' aftershave splash. Three menthol-laden passes & refreshing citrus finish. Have a great week, gents!

    Prep: Warm Shower-Stirling Bath Soap-Scots Pine Sheep
    Soap: TOBS Avocado Cream
    Razor: Gillette NEW Short Comb
    Blade: Vintage Schick Plus Platinum (Shave #17)
    Brush: Knotsinyourhead/Whipped Dog Silvertip-20mmx48mm
    Aftershave: Country Club Frozen Vetiver

    WTG-XTG-ATG (adjusted angles for my beard)

    TOBS Avocado Cream today. 10 seconds to load the Knotsinyourhead/Whipped Dog Silvertip brush. Easy, thick, slick, lather. Vintage Schick Plus Platinum still in the Gillette NEW SC. Excellent smooth, close shave. I finished with Country Club Frozen Vetiver aftershave.

    Castle Forbes Lavender shave cream
    Thayers Lavender witch hazel, unrefined shea butter, and Alt-Innsbruck Cologne/Aftershave

    I used JR#160 this morning in honor of Jayaruh's 70th birthday yesterday. He crafted the handle from a "bat nib" obtained from the lathe at the Louisville Slugger Bat Factory, and he harvested a boar knot from an Omega Pro 98 brush handle. It is one of my favorite brushes and a treasured addition to my den!

    RAZOR: EquaLine Disposable Twin Blade (compare to Gillette GoodNews)
    BLADE: twin
    PREP: hot shower with Dove Men+Care Oil Control bar soap, followed by hot water rinse
    CREAM: Barbasol - Sensitive Skin (orange accent label)
    POST SHAVE: hot water rinse
    AFTER SHAVE: Nope
    AFTER SHAVE BALM: None

    Got these cheap disposables (12/$.99) at an outlet store. These are good to have on-hand for a super quick no-hassle shave.
    Achieved a nice 1 pass DFS this morning. Bada-boom! - and out the door.

    I really love the scent of the Barbasol Sensitive cream. I can still smell a hint of it now, hours after the shave.
