A Rocky Patel Vintage 1999 Connecticut and some "Dark Hollow" Pennsylvania Bourbon from Hewn Spirits, Bucks County PA
A Punch cigar with a friend this evening, watching a little college football. Gators won with a heck of a throw (63 yards).
How did you like the Brazilian? I have tried the CAO Columbia and loved it. Makes me want to try the others in this CAO series.
I've always been a fan of that line especially the Piranha. That and the Short Story are two of the best short smokes you can buy IMO. The MX2 and Black follow right behind the Brazilia line for me when it comes to CAO.
Relocated my DIY humidor from my workbench to its permanent residence in my den last night. Activated the hygrometer and for grins put it in to see where I'm at prior to seasoning it. This morning the Temp was 74 and the RH was 76. The calibration kit got misdirected by USPS and should be here Thursday. Then I'll start the seasoning process and fill this baby up. I figure it'll hold about 20 sticks. They can only be 6 inches or less though. I 86'd the idea of the brass plate to cover the screw holes. This project went way over budget. I may buy the next one. But it was fun.
Started the seasoning process of my DIY humidor. To celebrate, lit off a Rocky Patel Vintage 1999 Connecticut. As it is a "school night", some Snapple Peach Iced Tea in a Trenton Thunder cup
Tomorrow's cigar, a Macanudo Inspirado White Churchill paired with some type of adult beverage. Too bushed from driving to enjoy it today
Dinner's over, time for a cigar and some Pennsylvania bourbon. I'm usually not a Churchill smoker, but I wanted to try the Macanudo Inspirado and that's the only length the cigar store had.
My humidor is up and running... On my way home from Georgia I stopped at J R Cigars on 95 and picked up some Romeo y Julieta Reserva Real's. Today some Montecristo White Series and Rocky Patel Vintage 1999 Connecticut's were delivered from Famous Smoke Shop in PA. Since my order was over $75 they threw in a Xikar double bladed guillotine cutter. There's also an Oliva torpedo and three Montecristo(Cuba) Petit Corona's. And the H Upmann(Cuba) Petit Corona I found in my desk drawer. I think I'm good on cigars for awhile!
After a damned busy week, a Rocky Patel Vintage 1999 Connecticut and a medium sized libation I'm sitting on my deck listening to the Marine Reserve Artillery working out at Joint Base MDL. Ahhh, the sound of FREEDOM!
I bought this Oliva Connecticut Reserve prior to making my humidor. It only fits long ways, so it's my pre-workweek cigar!
If you can find MC Whites from 15 years ago.....buy them Still a solid smoke but they did a big blend change for some reason and they didn't smoke as well as the originals. Sent from my SM-G955U1 using Tapatalk
To celebrate Hump Daaaay, I decided on an after dinner cigar. I let the owner of my local cigar shop talk me into this Liga Privada T52 by Drew Estate. I was a little leery as it is a full and I like 'em mild-medium. But I have to say, it's not over powering. Having a Snapple Peach Iced Tea with it...
