I've noticed my three piece razors usually end up becoming frankenrazors. How about you guys ?

I have several three piece razors and they all stay matched head to handle.
The only exception is my Stahly. While the oversized vibrating handle works, I find it too bulky for my liking, and the vibrating feature adds nothing to the shave. I love the head of the Stahly, so when it comes around in rotation I'll put it on a Fat Handle Tech handle or a NEW handle for the duration of the shave, then it goes back on the correct handle.

I don't think swapping handles makes it a frankenrazor, different caps and baseplates, yes.

Ah, Ok. But, I'm not sure if the cap and base plate on this razor are actually matched. The base is a D2. But, I have no idea if this is the original cap.

Whenever a new three piece enters my den I examine the top cap to determine its Frankenpotential. I agree with TobyC, swapping handles is just swapping handles it's not Frankenrazoring. My Pearl OC and R41 I swap caps on.

Most of mine end up this way. I like to think of them as mild customs.. :)

Canada Tech head on the fat bakelite Clix handle. A good pairing.

IIRC, he carved it out of wood to mimic a FB.

Yes, as @PanChango said, I carved it from wood to simulate a fatboy. It is not adjustable, it just looks that way.

    Super light, super efficient.
Head is a little aggressive, and very light.
Balanced just few grams on the resin handle.
    Total 30g, 13 / 17.

    Love the color contrast.
    Looks like something as vintage.
