I brought out my Sandpiper A.S. /w/Menthol for tomorrow...details in SOTD.

 

I have the original Agar formulation and I like it a lot. I think in the new formula they made the Oud a little more pronounced.

 

Big-time icicles in my face for tomorrow with the Glacial Lemon Chill trio and the Arctique. Jeff, brace yourself!

 

Wonderful shave with the Nag Champa. Another awesome soap from Stirling!

 

I figure I'll just use my Xecutive Man sampler(AS) once, which should suffice for doing the samples review for Doc Ezlovan. I've sniffed it enough as it is!!!! Then, of course, I'll finish it off.

The way the weather has been here, I might crank out the Glacial Wintergreen one more time.

 

What is the feeling so far about agar? I've never tried an oud scent before the main thing that sticks out to me is spicy note but I can't distinguish what else is there.

I had a most wonderful, frigid BBS shave with the Glacial Lemon Chill soap this morning. The matching balm and witch hazel as well as the Arctique aftershave kicked up the menthol effect by about a hundred levels. (almost!) Tomorrow I'll use a cream (Palmolive Menthol) and do the Glacial Eskimo Tuxedo on Monday morning!

 

Im curious to see what you think it was an interesting scent for me. Reminded me somewhat of a bay rum and pumpkin spice flavor but with an emphasis on spicy.

Also where did you get that brush? It's a beautiful brush!

Picked up a puck of the Agar, cause I am a sucker for those sorts of things, but I also grabbed a bottle of Almond Cream. I have to tell you that I completely unexpectedly went head over heels for this AS. Right out of the bottle it completely smacks hard of the Cella marzipan, but it dries down and mellows pretty quickly. It smells clean, almost barbershoppy but without powder, this one is a huge winner!

 

The Agar sounds very tempting all of a sudden and so does the new Eucalyptus Mint.

 

Agar is the one that brings us back to times of men sitting in leather chairs, smoking their pipes/cigars, right?

 

I used the Agar for the second time today. It is improved over the initial test formula. It leans more to the Agar/Oud side now. I would describe it as a "light, clean, woodsy" scent, but then I am terrible at describing scents..................
I do wish the scent was stronger.

 

It's worth checking out your SOD just for your brush selection! I struggle to describe it as well. The thing that sticks out to me is a spicy note.
