  1. Thanks Charlie, I am doing pretty well actually. Work is peaking out, and I am burning the midnight oil. Not a lot of time for anything else, but this weekend I pretty much sat on my hind end for two days.

Hope you and your bride are well.
  2. Thanks, Jim. It had a little glint on it, and I kicked it up a bit. It is a wicked sharp razor.
  3. Razor: Gillette 1930's OC Ball End Made in Canada
    Blade: Personna Tungsten 74 (13)
Brush: Elite Razor Tres Amigo w/ Sunset Synthetic
Soap: Jeeves of Hudson Street Private Study
    A/S: Floid Amber

Great way to start a week with different shave equipment. The brush easily whipped up the Private Study into a thick, slick, protective lather.

  4. Excellent picture, Doug! Great Den in the background.
SharptoothC, Screwtape, RyX and 3 others like this.
  5. Thanks very much Jim. Just one shelf. :)
  6. I hope my Colgate Barbershop one will be better,. although I've had it around a looong time(it was a PIF). It's losing some particles. Better try it soon, I suppose.

  7. Very nice setup Jared!!
  8. Good looking equipment and picture Jared. :happy096:
    SharptoothC and clint64 like this.
  9. Good job on the blade test. Sounds like the soap is destined for being used as hand soap.

  10. I really wanted to like the Williams. The scent is good, the slickness is incredible, but it's just too much aggravation to get a (miserable in my case) lather.
  11. Hope you day goes better tomorrow. I have read of some dissolving small pieces of alum in the store brand witch hazel. I’ll see if I can find the post.

  17. Thanks to all of you guys.

I haven’t been around much lately, and probably won’t for a couple of months, but I am following along as best as I can.

    Happy shaves, All.

Still house sitting for my parents because hauling their dogs to my house doesn't make sense. Previous shave's paper lather bowl was upgraded to a low wide dish. Only lacking element from my usual was texture to aid in incorporating air. The T&H soap is a hard puck so it got a swipe of water to soften for easier loading. My Piccolo handled 3 piece OC was already loaded with one of those sharpest of blades and three passes did an admirable job of stubble reduction. No blood on the hardware and a smooth DFS result attests to the efficiency of the razor when used with proper technique. No alum sting, and the cheap drugstore AS compliments the soap scent like they were made for each other.
    Good Shaves Y'all!
  19. Nic picture, Rick!
  20. Double tap...
