OCtober 24th Gillette NEW LC w Polsilver (3) WD HM Badger Jeeves of Hudson St Apothecary SS Thayers Booster Polar Ice AS Nice, easy 3 pass shave earlier this morning. Am smooth with a minimal amount of jawline touch-up. Even though the Booster does list glycerin as an ingredient, I did add more to it, and I think it has improved the performance of the product. Have a great day all!
Thanks, Doug. BTW- I went to Gifts and Care last night to look at getting some Floid and Myrsol AS from them after being inspired by your photos, only to get a message that they will no longer ship alcohol based products to Canada or the US. I believe that message only came up yesterday or the day before, as I was there a few days ago and was ready to checkout, but didn't. Wish I did, now.
Thanks very much for that information. We'll have to see if there is another site that will ship alcohol based products. Sent from my STV100-3 using Tapatalk
Thank you. All the good attributes are the same. I would say it feels more dense on the face with more backbone. I need to use them back to back for a full comparison.
Great combo, Perry. What do you find exceptional about the Jeeves AS- scent, face feel, longevity? I have one of his soaps, but no AS.
Good longevity and face feel. Nice menthol kick as well. Leaves your face feeling nice and soft. I have the tobacco scent as well as Black Tea.
Thank you, Jason! I don't really collect razors (my wife might argue that) as I like to use them, so I am glad it shaves well or else I would have to part with it.
Awhile back I mentioned in passing that I had used my normal Organic African Black Soap during my shower. Someone asked what it was and I believe I responded. Well, for those who missed it, who were curious, or just didn't care at all, I thought I'd post up a picture of my latest shipment. It's actually a fantastic product, in my most humble opinion. It cleans my face and head better than any other soap I've found. My skin is a bit on the oily side and this stuff keeps it well under control. It's all organic and natural. I thought of posting the picture as a "bar" of soap - but I put my MWF next to it for size comparison. It's actually 5 pounds of soap in a block. I cut it into smaller bars. I'm guessing this much will last me well over a year easily. And it costs just under $20 shipped! To answer the question I know is on the tip of someone's keyboard - no I haven't tried shaving with it. It produces a nice slick "lather" for a hand/body soap but I don't think it would work well for shaving. There are also three kinds of ash used in making it (Shea Tree Bark, Cocoa Pods, Plaintain) so it has a bit of grit to it at times. Kind of a mild Lava thing going.
Well it does include plaintain ash - kind of a banana thing I suppose? I'll send a small sample to anyone who wants to taste it.
