Today my Schick Simplified Automatic Repeater got the call...
I used some Barbasol Menthol and C.O.Bigelow Cream Uber-lather!

I have to say....I've got some GREAT razors...My Schick F type and ER 1914 and 1924s leading the pack...
But have to say, this C3 Repeater stands up to any competition...It shaves a good as anything I have ever had the pleasure of using, including Str8s !!!

    10/24/2017 -- Jamie's Night Shave....

Back to the Rocnel SE G, feels strange having a Gem style razor that is so heavy.. Love how they made it open comb and I personally think it looks bad a$$ ! I still find my 1914 ever ready to be more efficient and less aggressive. Only shaved 5 times with this razor, still learning as it bites if not careful with the heft...

    Schick E2 & Schick Proline [ 3 ]
This blade calms down this Razor a lot, but I still feel that because of its aggressiveness I have to use very short strokes so as to avoid mishap. Completed the Shave without problems, finish good on upper parts
of face, average on the neck. Have now decided that I prefer the PAL Injecto- Matic to the E2, as with a Proline blade I get smooth , comfortable close Shaves very easily.

@MPF9 can you expand a bit on the Pal vs. Schick topic?

I've got a Schick E, G and I and all give me varying degrees of excellent results. I've eyed the InjectoMatic for a while now but haven't pulled the trigger simply because my Schicks are such great performers.

    Inquiring minds...

As today is Williams Wednesday I HAD to go with the Williams. I did two carefree passes with the razor this morning. Not quite BBS today but still DFS. Finished off the shave with some vintage Avon Tai Winds AS.

The PAL Injecto-Matic has been called a "Schick Buster" by a few. It is more aggressive than the likes of the G
and later Razors, but for someone like me with a strong beard growth it does really eradicate the whiskers. I find that it works very well with a Schick Proline Blade [Type B]. I actually have used one as a Travel Razor. I fond them nice to hold and they have some handle variations [ see photo]

Though some were made in USA, main production was in UK, they are not always in the market place. I went through a phase of collecting them to get different handles.

I love the injeco matics... I got a virgin bristish black handle with the sticker JUST like the one u got pictured and 2 American ones - so where can I bet the PROLINE B blades - its killing me - USA ?

I can get the Proline P blades on shearworld but the darn D blades are impossible

    Face Shave:
    Pre-shave: Hot shower
Shave Cream: Barbasol Sensitive Skin travel size can (#11) http://theshaveden.com/forums/threa...m-travel-can-experiment-sensitive-skin.57755/
    Razor: Probak OC
    Blade: Derby Extra (4)
Post-shave: Dickinson WH, Aqua Velva Sensitive 5 in 1 AS Balm, Aqua Velva Musk AS / Cologne

    Head Shave:
    Pre-shave: same
Shave Soap: VDH Deluxe soap puck
    Brush: VDH boar
    Razor: Pal Injector
    Blade: Schick (2nd or 3rd I think)
    Post-shave: same

In keeping with my experiment on the Barbasol travel size can I again only used it on the face shave so it's not doing double duty on one day, i.e. a face and head shave. Besides, I want to keep some of my other shave products in rotation.

Did yard work this morning. I think this may be the last day I will have to mow the lawn. Although it's supposed to get to a high of 80 degrees Fahrenheit today (26 C), tomorrow the high will be about 40 degrees cooler and there's a slight chance of snow late in the day. Time to get the snow shovels ready!

For the face shave I did my usual 2 passes, and a clean-up pass on the neck area. I am very impressed with this Probak razor.

I took out the Pal injector to handle the head shave and it performed admirably. The only hiccup to an otherwise fine shave today was a cut to the back of my neck. I knew I hit something with the razor, twice. I didn't think too much at first about it but when I re-lathered my scalp for a 2nd pass I saw some blood on the brush. I finished up the shave and had to get some help from the wife because I could not tell what I had done. She said I cut open a blemish and also had a minor cut near it. She gave me some first aid, and made it all better.

    Have a great day, everyone!

    Quite the beautiful collection.
I think Billyfergie coined the Schick buster term. Definitely the most efficient injector I have used.
Some would qualify it as aggressive.
I think the main difference between USA & UK editions is the handle and the orientation of the ribbing. Length wise is UK.
If I had to have only one razor for full duty ( face & dome busting) PAL Injectomatic would be at the top of the list....

The Brits also made PAL IMs with the same handles as those in the US. But the neck came in different colors and the head is silver instead of gold. Shaves the same by my experience. I think they leave the E2s in the dust. Never tried it with a Proline but a standard Schick blade is a fabulous shave with it. :happy093:

However, if you are a true Schick-head you can pit the Hussy against the PAM IM any day and she will hold her own or better. :happy036:

    PAL S/S Adjustable & Schick Proline [ 2 ]
Used the modernistic PAL Adjustable today, which is far less aggressive than the Injecto-Matic. Provided that you get one with the mechanism that works they Shave very well.
I use a mid point setting, and find that if you use a light touch and take your time you can get a very high quality Shave. The razor is very forgiving and even when working it hard to get that ultra close finish, no soreness or irritation arises.

Very strange, I have known them run out of stock but restock quickly
Rakuten is far cheaper unless you get postage at EMS rate and not Small Packet post.
