The angle of the razor is hugely important on these. I saw it was mentioned to start with the razor handle sticking out straight as if it was parallel to the floor. Rotate it down until you can just feel the blade. Let the weight do the work and try to lock your angle in.

Good morning, Clint, and thanks for the kind words. I'm still learning how to load the brush. I loaded what I thought was enough soap yesterday. During the shave, I had to go back for more. I loaded a bunch of cream this morning, and it was better. I still had to go back for a bit, though. I like my first pass to have a fairly thick coating of lather, and it appears that I'm still starving the bush a bit. Tomorrow's shave will be with Castle Forbes, and Monday's will be Mike's Natural Soap. I'll load a little heavier with both the cream and the soap and will let you know. On a side note, I am really enjoying the Weber loaded with a Voskhod. The weight and balance of the razor combined with the smoothness of the blade is hard to beat. I can easily get a near BBS in two passes. I've pretty much given up on chasing the baby or going for a third pass, as it usually produces some irritation. I hope you have a great weekend.

Brian, that is a beautiful straight, but the blade has quite the spike point. Do you find this razor to be much more challenging to use than some of your other ones?
I'm getting low on my Clubman Original A.S. I'm grateful the local CVS carries some. Saves me on the shipping. There's a lot of the Special Reserve ready for me this fall&winter, which is good, as I'd have to do an internet order + shipping, as I don't know of a place around here that carries that.
That's a great shot of the Special Reserve, and the brush looks attractive(I may have complimented it before)
Thank you for the update. Dense brushes just take some time to dial in the correct amount of soap. You'll get it sorted shortly. The Weber has such a classic look that it always looks great in SOTD photos.
