Right now I would say Bay Rum w Lime, a custom blend from Amanda of Tiki Bar Soaps. Straight Bay Rum like Dominica Bay with the right amount of lime. I like most Bay Rums and comes down to my mood which one I chose, Could be Mikes, B&M, BSG, pretty much a sucker for Bay Rum.

Route 66 Lavender Woods today. 20 seconds to load the John’s Brushes Silvertip brush. Easy, thick, slick, lather. Vintage Gillette “Spoiler” SS still in the Gillette Slim. Excellent smooth, close shave. I finished with Bentley Intense aftershave.

Yet another excellent shave. The Rocket HD really is good. Definitely decided not to sell it. It will be used regularly I think. Arlington was super slick.

A fine three pass shave this morning with the Gillette Mach 3. I am smooth and refreshed. Enjoy your day friends. ☺️

 

For some reason I decided to change my setup for this morning and I went with Gronlycka soap, from Sweden. This is an artisan soap with a very nice, mild lemony type of scent and it has fabulous lather which works up really easily. It gives a good, comfortable post-shave feeling and a lot of moisturizing. My aftershave of choice today was Booster Iced Lime which is a Canadian barbershop classic. My wife told me it makes me smell like an old geezer but hey, that's my style. lolllllll Truthfully and honestly although I do like the Derbys I find the Astras to be better in the sense that they're sharper, smoother, and have more longevity. For tomorrow I'm debating on whether to use another Derby or switch back to an Astra. I had a very good two pass BBS shave, so no complaints!
