  1. Hilarious pumpkin, Clint! Great photo as always.
  2. Thank you Jason. It was really hilarious watching the girls pick out their designs and paint the pumpkins. I had the best time just being a spectator.

  5. First, I'm glad to hear Maya is doing well and sorry to hear you are not.

As for stropping the blade, because it is in a Valet Autostrop, I strop the blade as the razor was designed with the blade in the razor. I will take some pics and post them here tomorrow of how I strop the blade.

    Gillette New Short Comb
    Treet New Steel
    Stirling Boar Brush
    Stirling Baker Street soap
    Stirling Mountain Man AS

With use the Stirling boar continues to fan out as the tips split making it feel like a very large brush. It took a little longer for the Boar knot to get filled with lather as I "Super Gooped" some Stirling Baker Street out of my VDH bowl. The lather was thick, slick, dense, and shiny and made the perfect foundation for the New SC and the Treet New Steel to glide across my face wiping away whiskers as they went. Super comfortable shave and very impressed with the Treet considering some of the negative reviews that are floating around out there. Splashed on a bit of Mountain Man and was smooth, relaxed, and smelling great. Have a great day my friends!
  11. Thank you, Clint. I think my pictures seem to have a similar look because I take them at night. Usually before I lay the gear out for an early morning shave.
I often enhance the colour when I edit them on my iPad, though.
  12. Andrew, do you notice much of a difference between the NEW SC and LC?
  13. Thanks. I’m with you on that. I really like this razor a lot.
  14. I prefer the SC over the LC. To me its just a tad more efficient/aggressive.
  15. Thank you, Gents.
  16. Nice shiv!

  17. Incandescent light bulbs? They give off a yellow light instead of the harsh florescent. Everyone now using CFL or the newer LED. The old fashion Edison type are near impossible to find here in CONUS land.
Post capture editing helps, too. Great feel to the warm wood tones in your shots!
  18. October 30 - Mineral Spa Monday

    Schick E2 / Personna ( 3 or 4)
Semogue Owners Club cherrywood boar brush
    La Toja shave cream

After the talk about La Toja earlier, I hauled mine out for a refresher today. It has a good, clean mineral salts smell, makes excellent protective lather and has a bracing postshave feeling. I quite enjoyed it and may make it a regular Monday morning experience.
  19. Great looking shave, Andrew! I really like how the Stirling Boar looks. Would you recommend it?

Absolutely! I've probably used it less then a dozen times total but it is already very soft. Mine has stopped shedding (though others report that theirs are chronic shedders). The handle is comfortable in use and had a nice heft to that speaks quality. And at less then $10 its hard not to justify adding one to your next Stirling order.
