Today is the last day of Open Comb OCtober. I have spent the last month minus 5 shaves using my Autostrop Valet VC2 with a carbon steel blade. Today's shave was another very good 3 pass shave. You could classify it either a very high DFS or a low BBS. Stropped the blade fifteen time before and another ten after the shave. Finished the shave with some vintage Avon Wild Country AS.

Thank you Jason. They both enjoyed being included in the SOTD photos. Maya helps me pick which photos to use for my SOTD posts. I take far more than needed and she is in charge of narrowing the field.

I was running a bit late this morning so I skipped shaving. Fortunately, I had had a very satisfying shave yesterday with the Thick Cap OT, so I really didn't have that much to work with anyway.

And on that quiet note, another month comes to an end. For me, the first part of the month was more about getting in a shave when I felt up to it. These usually went by a route of least resistance and were Injector shaves. (Gotta love the Schick '500'.) As I got back into the swing of things, the OCs came out, including the English Three-Hole Flat-Bottom New. This led into a diversion into the strange world of the Tech, starting with the English Flat Bottom Tech. Finally, I wrapped up the month with the OT.

Now to figure out next month...

Thank you, Clint! They shave very similarly to each other, and to my eye the heads are the same. The difference lies in the weight for me. I find I like the weight of the Aristocrat a bit better over the the Sheraton. Also, while the Sheraton is great looking razor, it isn't quite up the Aristocrat standards.

A pair of great looking shaves, Keith!
    Glad to hear it, Clint!
Fantastic photo and a great looking pumpkin, Clint!
Another great month of shaves, Clint. and thank you for the insight on the 3 different razors. I will probably never get a Wolfman. But the Timeless isn't out of the question.
Great shot with a cool scuttle, Charlie!
Great photo, Jim! IF you had to pick a favorite OC TTO ?
Nice setup, Perry. And good job in conquering the sticks. Something I may have to do in the future.
Nice shot Jason! I see a large number of 30DCLE's making an appearance today!
    Very nice, Mark!
A beautiful lather in a beautiful bowl, Brian. Congrats again!

Thank you Andrew. I was lucky enough to get the first Wolfman before there was any hype at all and paid less that I would have for an ATT razor. I was lucky enough to piggy back on a friend's order for the second Wolfman razor head. The polished Timeless is really a work of art. The machining and finish are equal to the Wolfman with one small exception. The inside of the top plate is not finished to the same level as the inside of top plate on the Wolfman. Given the price and availability I highly recommend the Timeless razors.
