    Prep: Stirling mentholated pre-shave soap
    Blade: GEM stainless
    Razor: GEM Featherweight
    Brush: Surrey badger
    Lather: Stirling Sharp Dressed Man
Post: Witch hazel, Stirling Sharp Dressed Man aftershave
    WTG, touch up

Quite enjoyable shave this morning with the Featherweight and Stirling's Sharp Dressed Man. Classic scent and superb lather and post-shave qualities. Stirling never disappoints. Easy results overall.

    Have a great day!

This. I was in your shoes a year ago. I just hit my one year anniversary, and I'm amazed at what these guys have taught me. At and how much shaving "stuff" I have accumulated. And I still ask "noob" questions. All fair game here, bro.

    That's a fabulous setup Neal!
Jason while your at it pick up a bottle of Witch Hazel. It feels wonderfully cooling after the sting of the alum. Be fore warned though that unscented Witch Hazel smells aweful so be sure to follow it up with a nice aftershave or do what Perry @PLAla does and mix a bit of Witch Hazel in your palm with your aftershave and apply them together.
    Absolutely gorgeous, Clint!
Fantastic photo, Jim. I see it didn't many people long to get back to their SE razors.
Great B&W Perry! Love seeing the reflection in the top cap.
Charlie, you're really upping your photo game!

My focus for November is to try single-pass shaves with soaps. As I stated in previous posts, recent 2-passers resulted in some weepers-thus not meeting with my approval. I'll just be sure I'm spreading enough soap around for that first pass. Many times when I watch shave videos, I say to myself "He looks good enough" after the first pass, but he proceeds to do a second and third anyway. Well, it's his shave, his face, after all. I'll do a second if absolutely necessary, otherwise it's "Johny One-Note" for me this month.

    Razor: Pre-War Fat-Handle Tech
    Blade: German Wilkie (1)
    Brush: 30DC LE/Pure Badger
    Cream: KMF fragrance-free
    Post: Alum, Listerine, WH

Day 2 of the a new month. Today's razor is the pre-War Tech. Somehow, despite devoting a fair number of shaves to my other Techs, I haven't picked this one up in a while. I'm not sure if I've ever paired it with the German Wilkie, but the combo ended up working very well. A BBS with no issues other than a little tingle from the Alum.

    Thanks, Jim!
    Thanks, Andrew!
Thanks, Clint! The Pushbutton is my favorite of the GEM razors, followed by the Featherweight and the 1912. The Featherweight is growing on me but the Pushbutton is the one I would choose first.
