How do you guys store the soap? I have a soap mat that allows water to drain away, drying the bar completely between uses. I used a dish on the 1st few bars and the soap went pretty quick. Keeping it dry helps longevity quite a bit. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Tapatalk
It rests on a shower rack that hangs from the fixture. The area has parallel bars that the soap rests on, so it dries between uses.
Hmmm. That should work just fine. I've had some bars that felt a little soft upon arrival. I usually sit this to the side and use them last. An old trick is to open the bar and just let it sit and dry for a few weeks. Short of that... I give Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Tapatalk
Sounds like Rod's idea to potentially go triple-milled would certainly benefit us as long as the quality remains the same. And given Rob's reputation, I don't see him following through with that process if he thought the performance of the soap would be compromised in any way. Even if a triple-milled bar gave us 3-4 more days of use, the modest increase in longevity for each bar would certainly add up over the course of a year. If I get an average of 10 days of use from the current milling process, I'd be using just over 36 bars in one calendar year. But if that average number of days of use increased to 13 or 14 days, I'd be using 26 to 28 bars in one calendar year. That might not seem all that significant when you break it down and do the math, but every dollar counts and those savings could be spent on other shaving gear.
Just got an e-mail from Stoylin about the Christmas "goodies". I'm not interested in those, but I might buy the brush they put on sale (Synthetic 24 X 56 2-band, down to $11.99 from 13.99)..
I've been using Stirling bath soap bars for a few years now. I get that some may get through a bar faster than others, but 10-12 showers is ultra fast. I take two showers a day and use the same bar to wash body and hair. By your results that would mean on Monday I open a new bar and on Friday it's gone. That is incredibly fast. I have not taken note of how long it lasts for me, but I think 3 weeks or so = 42 showers liberal usage, and i usually toss the sliver bar that remains.
I find that my Stirling bath soaps last quite a while. Hell, I started a Glacial Lemon Chill bar back in early June and it's still going pretty strong.
I own and love several Glacial soaps. I just love mine less vocally . They really aren't so bad once you get used to them (and your face goes numb/loses sensation). Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
Oddly enough, I can feel menthol on my face, but not on my head.. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
