I expected more people to be older too, but just 28 here too. It is a good thing that the "young" generation is picking this up though!
Im 34.. But not when I pay my bills, then Im 60.. And when I ride my bike Im 20.. When I play computer games Im 14.. I guess even age is relative..
Well, I started shaving before they tried to put some guuk they tried to pass off as lather into a bug bomb and before they put 2, 3, 4, or 5 blades in cartridge. I've tried all of these "improvements" in shaving gear at one time or another, but my personal preference hasn't really changed all that much since I started shaving in the early 1950's. I still use a hot towel on my face to start off with, and then use a badger brush to gather soap from a puck in a mug and build the lather on my face. (Actually, I do sometimes use creams . . . either way, I still build the lather on my face and work it in for a couple of minutes to really soften things up.) The main thing different from when I was a teenager, when my first razor was a Superspeed, I now use a single edge Gem Jr. that is about 35 years older than I am. (I was just too young to have been able to have purchased the best razor at the time I started shaving. ) Back to the original question of this thead . . . I'm 71. Does that make me the oldest of the geezers trying to teach all you kids how to shave??? Actually, I've learned a lot since I discovered these forums, including the fact that there are great shaving products available that I don't find at the corner drugstore, and also that these old single edge razors are, perhaps, the best shaving instruments ever designed . . . You're never to old to learn. Regards, Tom
