Charlie -

One hundred Shark blades were included with my Parker SRX. The plan is just to use them up. It's obvious they are not as sharp and smooth as something like GSB, but it's not a huge difference. It's not like DE. Shavette requires so little pressure and such low angles that almost every brand I try is OK.

Today I get to spend the day with Logan, so during his first nap I had a very nice shave. Still attempting to use up the Dr Jon's Hydra I went at it with my 24mm two band TGN Ever-Ready, needless to say the hydra is still holding on. I did get another very nice super goop lather out of it though. 3 passes and another BBS out of the Mamba. I finished if with a splash of Iced Pineapple, just because! Have a great weekend my friends!

Andrew, enjoy your day at home with Logan! It looks like he's having fun! I always enjoy when he makes his Friday appearance. It makes me wonder if he will eventually be shaving with the 30DC. By that time, it will be him and a dozen old (and some very old like @PickledNorthern and @clint64) codgers chasing the baby on a daily basis.

Congrats on the BBS! You may be smooth, but I'm sure Logan is smooooooooooth!

Technique takes time. Doesn't hurt when the equipment is good quality. Still working a sample of Route 66 soap I mushed to the bottom of my oldest mug. The quality of the lather is top notch and the scent is close enough to my nose that I'm not shopping a $25 vintage puck of soap. Jason's brush did what it does best - swirl up a lather with style. I tried a face lather today instead of going to a bowl. First smear was dry, added a trickle to the brush and it juiced right up. WTG accomplished and second lathering was plentiful. ATG and the audible from the DE was very quiet. Had to squeeze the brush knot to get more lather out, but it was sufficient for XTG & clean ups. I didn't finish as smooth as my previous shave but still feel like I've reached the "I could use this razor every shave" plateau. Alum swiped comfortably quiet and the Shulton soothed and spiced me up.
